Renting it from the resort DJ. Definitely one of the biggest disappoints I had when dealing with the resort. I so badly wanted a DJ, but I refused to pay $1400 for 4hrs. Music is important to us, I hope it all turns out well.

Thank you for the recommendation! I dont believe the Coba Ruins are part of the Palace Resorts promotions. All my guests prefer to book an excursion that will be free for them. Most likely we'll just do the Wet N Wild excursion. But I definitely will look into the ruins for a nice trip for hubby and I.

You can also opt to have a symbolic wedding and then make it "official" when you get back home. I spoke to Dulce and Yesenia (in Miami) about this and they both verified that this is possible. Ive been debating for a while whether we should do a symbolic or civil ceremony and the fact that we can have a symbolic wedding and then make it official when we get back makes the decision a little easier.

i started planning my DW back in January. Based off of what people were saying, I just knew 50-60ppl would be attending the wedding. Then when the invites went out. I received not even half of the RSVP's back. Everyones excuse, " I cant afford it."! It doesnt really matter how much time you give people to save money, If your wedding isnt a priority for them, then they will not try to make it. I have definitely learned a valuable lesson during this planning process. People only care about themselves. No matter how much you give to others or how much of a great friend you are, some people are just selfish. I have 34ppl booked and sometimes I feel bad that the wedding is so small, but these are all the people that actually care. I weeded out all the fakes and phonies and negative people and now my wedding is just going to be surrounded by support and love. (sounds cheesy lol) Even though there are only 34ppl people attending, I still have 85 room nights booked. Part of that 85 is our nights booked, we're staying 13 nights. We have quite a few people staying 6-8 nights, which really helped. Dont worry about the amount of people coming, its going to be beautiful and amazing!

Im actually starting to look for that kind of stuff now. Everything is way too pricey! I think I may just buy a hoodie or tank top and go to Michaels or Hobby Lobby and add the personalization myself.

The samething happened to me. When Wilma emailed me, she said that I had already reserved the cocktail hour spot and time along with the ceremony gazebo. I hadnt reserved anything at all with Dulce. Maybe the other girls were doing their jobs poorly, which is why Wilma took over. Nonetheless, Im happy with the switch.

It took about a month for Dulce to contact me after I booked everything. If you email the Miami office Im sure theyll get someone to contact you soon. I purchased the Diamond package and Im not sure what kind of chair decorations theyll have. The WC is there to make everything go smoothly for you so Im sure if you tell her that you want your ceremony decoration moved to the reception area, shell do it with no problem. Im planning on just using the sashes for the reception decor only.

Woot woot!! Had my BD photo shoot on Saturday and received my pics online today!! So exciting! Hope I can keep my secret from FH for another month! LOL ALSO, purchased GM suits today and had them shipped out to the guys. FINALLY!!!! Talk about last minute huh? :/ Things are back in order!
