As far as my dress I fell in love with it at first sight and will more than likely wear it to the reception. If I can't find another dress this weekend, I'll just go ahead and wear number 1, I just can't stress of it at this point. If you fell in love with it at first sight then it should be the one! But that is just me a sentimental, hopeless romantic talking. My dress was the 8th dress I tried on. Actually I saw it on a hanger and said to the girl "See now I would never wear something like this..its too girly and not enough edgey". Won't you know she snuck it in the room didn't tell me and when I tried it on I started crying....that was the one. Good luck this weekend no matter what you're gonna look awesome from your picks above you have wonderful taste. I got a second dress for my TTD very flowy and light, I'm actually thinking of wearing it to the reception. Not sure yet. Your invitation/RSVP process sounds so easy. Wish mine was just as.

Items for OOT Bags
JanineA replied to TaniBBurwell's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
Hi Tani!! With regards to the Appleton Rum favors there was a thread previously posted on it, from it you can go back and get the info from the other ladies: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...-favors-44620/ With regards to the sarongs I suggest: Sarongs - Turtle Island Imports I got my sarongs from them and they were very reasonable. I bought 25 and I wrote them an email and negotiated a better price. For the mini rum cakes if appleton doesn't have any might I suggest TortugaRumcakes.com - Tortuga Rum Co. Ltd the company is owned by friends of mine and I can assure you the cakes are fantastic!!!! The drink books you can get from Amazon. There is a bartending for dummies and another cocktails for dummies which many of the ladies include. Or sometimes at Target you can find them in the $1 section. You can also pick up the footballs/soccer balls at Target or the dollar store. As for the other items I am not sure but I am sure other ladies will be able to make suggestions. Good luck! -

I thought the same thing. I kind of based everything off of theknot. It says that invitations should be sent 2 months prior but since we are doing a destination I thought 3-4 months prior is best. I am gonna think of things on my end. That would make a great thread. Good job!

My RSVP date is August 31st so I guess that isn't so bad. I already have 25 people booked not including FI and I and after invitations are sent we only expect 6 more to book. I'm not sure if we are late or not...I hope we aren't you and I are on similar schedules. Have you tried Ana De Roux for your passport invitations. I know Sproullie Designs does them also but I just wrote her an e-mail two nights ago and she let me know due to overwhelming demand she is only working with past brides right now on stationary suites. Amy (KittenHeart) got hers from Ana and they came out great. Here is her site: Ana de Roux {Custom Invitations, Stationery & Design} Good luck!

Hi Kelly, congrats on your house. I love the first dress! But of course like the other ladies said how you feel in it is key. I wish I could say if you don't like it pass it to me...but I already have a dress, well actually two. Keep us posted on how your shopping excursion on Saturday goes. I like number 2 but number 1 made my jaw fall. Good luck...... (oh and PS I was just freaking out in my own mind that I am 4 months 27 days away with no invitations sent when I saw your thread....holy cow!)

Punkie: wow you are on top of everything. I know usually if I have a shoe that is a half size too big I buy those gelly sort of insoles and then if fits me perfect...and my feet are gellin'...lol! Anacj: I was first told when I ordered my dress and then went in to get measure that it would be in by August but recently when I called to check on my bridesmaids dresses they mentioned mine would not be in until September (I purchased it in January). ChicagoPT: Does the PT stand for Physical Therapist (just had to ask cause my FI is one). Lucky girl, with a tough decision. Are you more inclined to one of them more than the other? Are they both attending? Thats a tough one. MysTea: I am wearing silver shoes. I had bought some Badgley Mischka's to wear but then ended up wearing them early to a friend's wedding they were purple with a brooch towards the back. Then last week ideeli had a sale on badgley mischka's and I picked up a silver strappy sandal New question ladies: HAS EVERYONE SENT THEIR INVITATIONS OUT ALREADY? Mine were temporarily lost and I just received them but I wanna do a few DIY's on it before sending them out. I feel like I am sending them late.

Congrats and welcome to the forum. You can never have enough time. The earlier you are the more time you have to plan a wonderful event, save money by starting early on DIY projects and saving even more towards your day. I envy you. I am just under 5 months and I wish I had more time...lol! Good luck and happy planning!

Ladies I need advice about buying on BDW
JanineA replied to ktnicole's topic in Buy / Sell / Trade Archives
Through usps an item can be shipped w/o confirmation that it has been received (when some one signs saying the received) or with, either way the receipt should have a tracking number especially if the item was sent priority (3 day, 2 day or overnight). I would suggest asking the seller what the confirmation number on the receipt is. Or you can call usps and try giving them the label number (the label number is usually shorter than the tracking number printed at the top of the receipt as confirmation that the post office did receive a package from the sender). Sorry you are going through this but I hope you and the seller are able to work out something or you package shows up. -

Hi ladies I did a search and was only able to find one thread which contained a list of links but it was all for the same corner rounding tool and when I read the reviews most weren't good. Has anyone every used a corner rounding tool on their invitations or stationery suite and if so what brand of corner rounding tool did you use. I'm trying to find a really good one, that is not going to be stressful on my hands and most importantly that cuts clean round edges. Thanks!

Congrats on your recent engagement and welcome to the forum Stephen. There are tons of places around the globe that could potentially fit what you are looking for. But the airfare helps narrow it down a bit. Are you thinking of the Caribbean? Or were you thinking of Mexico? Somewhere still in the US? I think the more specific the region you can narrow it to the more suggestions you may get. Undeniably I think Mexico has probably the best bang for your buck, easy airfare, and you don't necessarily have to marry on the beach. You could try looking around in the Mexico thread. Most destinations in the Caribbean south of Jamaica will run your airfare over $500 in January (everyone escaping the cold). I'm sure as you browse the sight you will find some great suggestions. Good luck and happy planning!
