We have 11 people including ourselves with flights booked. My first thought was if I can't find anywhere in the price range I'll need to take a loan and pay all of these people back. Now I'm looking at the first week in Dec which is still in the price range, I don't think it's major to us to move the wedding up a month... My question is now all of these people with flights booked, would it be possible to just move the dates ahead...or would they be out the money and have to pay again? I thought DW was supposed to be easier than a regular wedding!!!!! Oh sweetie, I know :-(. My wedding was supposed to be the saturday before yours, but after checking the prices, we decided to change it to November and the price was greatly reduced. I agree with Jesmcan, see what your TA can do. Did your people just put down deposits or how did that work?

I am pretty sure they are telling me that we dont have a say over what they play when we walk down the aisle.... not sure I like that. Has anyone dealt with this? Hmm I dont think asking for a playlist is unreasonable. I mean, I understand not wanting to play something you are unfamiliar with, but come on, I'm sure we all want a say in what is played at OUR OWN (OUT OF OUR OWN POCKETS) wedding. I kinda feel this way about the legal ceremony and not being able to have sand ceremony. :-(

The reason i am using an outside company and not the royals furniture is because I didnt like the furniture that they use, its like two long sofas... the company i am using is charging $175 per set which includes a table, two ottomans and two sofas... this way its more of a lounge feel rather than two long couches. If anyone wants there information let me know and i'll send it.. it turned out to be cheaper even with the fee to use this outside company. Adriana Nice find. I wish i could do this, but my charge is 300 per vendor :-(

I wanted to make sure I did not ask questions that may have already been answered several times, lol. This forum, and the ladies on it, have been so helpful! I initially wanted to do a DW so I would not have to plan anything, doesn't seem to be the case! My FI and I are from different religious backgrounds so we are having a religious cermony of three hundred guests in Vancouver, and aprox 35-50 guests in Playa. I went from not wanting to plan a wedding to having to plan two weddings! To add to that, we too have had to change our wedding date from April 2011 to Nov 2010 due to price difference for our guests. I'm sure you can imagine that mad scramble I'm going through now trying to plan two weddings in seven months! I have stayed at the Royal before so am familiar with ground layout, etc. Some of the questions I do have: 1. Re lounge furniture - I saw a post that mentioned that they used the Royal's for $250-300. I was initially going to rent mine from another outfit that charged aprox $2000 (used by several other posters). Can someone give me more info about the Royal's lounge furniture and how it compares. 2. Re DJ - does the Royal use DJ Doremixx? If so, is it cheaper to book him privately, even while paying the $350 vendor fee 3. I have not received any communication from an WCs. Everything was booked through a travel agent. Is this normal? 4. I'm in the same boat as many other ladies - the Luxury Package is what I initially was going to go for, but there are alot of services - mani/pedi, hair/makeup, photo, etc, that I will not use - are we still able to book a four course private reception? Lastly, I have not posted enough to open the attachments. Can someone be kind enough to email the wedding and price checklist, and this cake list that everyone is talking about, lol. [email protected] Thanks a bunch ladies! I think the lounge furniture is 250 per 5 pieces, 500 for 10 and so on... Good question about the 4 course meal; i'm interested to know this too

I think jesmcan was originally going to do the Ult Luxury Package, so it's possible they may have let her substitute since it was already on one of the filet options. (just my guess) but yeah, that price is ridic

I appreciated his honesty the most. When he saw me in some of the dresses I tried on, he was like "Oh no, definitely not, take it off". It was such a wonderful experience! Are you ladies staying in same room as FI the night before wedding? Part of me wants to sleep in a different room to add to the whole suspense of seeing each other, but then part of me doesnt because I will not sleep as well (and who wants added bags to eyes lol)? I also dont want to pay extra ...guess i have time to figure it out. Jess, regarding the seating for reception, I will most likely either have one of my brothers act as an usher, or put one of these on the front chairs: I have also considered maybe having mom and dad seats IN the gazebo for me and FI on each side so that they will be comfortable and have special status. Also because 3 of our 4 parents have had open heart surgeries and may not withstand the sun very well....still pondering this.

She told me that she's not okay with it but what can we do? she said he asked her to help find a stripper so she is going to start calling agencies and to make sure its a classy, not a trashy agency. i told her i don't think it would matter if money is involved. like my friend said, its purely depends on the girl. oh well, if anything, i have many eyes at his party anyways. my sorority sister's husband will be there and other mutual friends' bf/husbands. i'm just going to move on and let FI know that if he is still having one then i am going to have one. my MOH said they're not getting me one based on my wishes so if he still gets one then i'll get one. simple like that. Oh Diana, I understand. FI is horrible with peer pressure and that is what is so upsetting. He doesnt want the stripper bach party, but his co-worker wants to FI's groomsmen's numbers to set something up (he's not even in wedding party!) I also know that none of our friend's wives will be cool with it either (well, except for the one that actually IS a stripper lol). Why is marriage and love synonymous with one last temptation and other women? dont get it....

I feel so un-girly because I am not looking forward to trying on dresses lol. I kinda dread it. Maybe it's because I am not a huge shopper? I only like going alone, but everything has to be readily available and on display or I lose interest haha. Hmm, maybe this will be different, but I still cannot muster the enthusiasm.
