  1. Thanks for the review! I also appreciate the mention of the view. I hate those square rocks in the water break, I was hoping that they wouldn't be in our pictures. We're planning on having our reception in the club lobby as well, but I was hoping the DJ would set up on the patio portion so we could dance outside all night. It doesn't look like yours was quite set up that way, did they have to move the tables to make room for dancing?
  2. I just got some 'pool balls' from Dollar Tree for the teen in my group to throw around. I saw they had some cute toys for the sand like a bucket and shovel, etc.
  3. I third the advice for TA Jill. It's so nice having someone else deal with all of the booking stuff instead of having our guests calling me to ask questions. She's even able to arrange transportation between the hotel and airport which I'm not entirely sure the hotel does if booking through them.
  4. I'm up by the state fairgrounds in Saint Paul. I'm getting married at Dreams Cancun on July 2nd! I'm bummed to hear about AA, I believe we're flying with them. I was pretty surprised to find that Delta didn't have any direct flights to Cancun on the days we're traveling. I'm thinking of rolling up my dress and putting it my regular carry-on bag. Our wedding package includes ironing/steaming of the wedding clothes, so I might as well pack as much as possible with it!
  5. Thanks for the review! I'm bummed out about the new beach, that was my favorite place the last time we were there! Loved the pictures, too! I liked how the bridesmaid's dresses were all different!

  7. I bought mine from Penny Dell Puzzles. They have some great prices for value packs! PennyDellPuzzles
  8. Here's a pic that was just posted on Dream's facebook page. The little gazebo is actually better than I imagined, but I'd be livid if those huge blue tarps were in the pictures! I hope everything gets done for you upcoming brides!

  10. Everything looks great! I really love your cake toppers, that isn't something I've seen on here yet!
  11. I also overlapped the edges. I did notice that the edge was still coming up a bit though, so I might try the packing tape idea. Thanks for sharing that tip!
  12. Thanks for the comments ladies! Quote: Originally Posted by Mischaka OMG!! that's awesome!! You should soooo try to sell some! For that price I would definitely buy!! 13. I peeled off the original label. It was a pain but I didn't want it to show through. I also ended up peeling off the part that was on the cap, too. I figure that people only have to open it to see that it wasn't used!
  14. I almost forgot the price breakdown! Fabric was $39 (with 40% off coupon), the ribbon for the handles was $12.50, thread was $4, twill tape for the tags was about $3 and transfer paper was about $4 but I only used 1 sheet. So I made 18 bags for just over $60 which means each bag cost about $3.30. Not too bad for hand-made!
  15. Next I had to sew on the handles. I put them at about 2.5 inches from each corner of the bag and about 3/4" from the top. I then sewed a square to make them pretty stable. I knew that I wanted to sew a pretty big hem but I wanted the handles to still be sewn near the top of the bag without the stitching going through to the other side. I decided to flip the handles over to the other side and sew another strip near the bottom of the squares. I know this sounds confusing, but I wanted to make sure those handles were going to stay! So then I flipped over the edges and measured out 3/4". I believe I actually sewed the hem at 5/8". The pins in the handles are where I had previously sewn the handles to the bag again. If I had waited to sew them after making the hem, it would have gone straight through the bag. Oh I had also made my own tags, based on the following tutorial, aren't they cute? Fabric Labels Tutorial - freshvintage Well that's it, hope it wasn't too confusing! I really like how they came out, I hope people will actually use them!
  16. I decided that I wanted to make my own OOT bags with my brand new sewing machine, and this is what I came up with! I used a combination of these two tutorials: Lazy Girl | Blog Make Our 1 Yard, 1 Hour Free Tote Bag Pattern For Last Minute Holiday Gift Bags Free Directions and Pattern to Sew a Simple Tote Bag The fabric I got from Joann's, all with 40% off coupons so it was a steal! I had two different fabrics, one a liner, so I had to buy double of everything. From each yard, I cut out 3 rectangles that were about 14.5" by 44". I took a rectangle of each fabric and laid them on top of one another with the print facing inside. Then I sewed the short sides together. Next I refolded the materials so that each fabric was folded in half over itself and sewed the long sides together. I made sure to stop short on the liner fabric so that I could turn the right side out. I then turned the fabric right-side out and sewed the opening that I had left. Hopefully you can see the stitching, I know it's hard with the brown thread and brown fabric! I stuffed the liner inside the outer part of the bag and the easy part was done!
  17. Everything looks great! I love how you put a flower in the bubbles, I hadn't seen that before! Quote: Originally Posted by KarenM Those are all great projects!! Your guests will love them. 18. Thanks for the review! I'm also anxiously waiting for pictures, I've been dying to see the new gazebo view!
  19. They look awesome and I love the monogram! Nick really was great to work with, I can't say enough about his company, especially after hearing about the translucent pink cups that he just happened to have! ORDER FROM OASIS PROMOTIONAL PRODUCTS!
  20. Thanks for sharing! It's nice to finally see a new review! I love the picture with all the ladies in their pink shoes! SO cute!

  23. Here's my template! I printed it on sticker paper from Staples and it worked out really well. Here's the link to the paper: Staples® Sticker Paper | Staples® Chapstick Labels.pub
