  1. Our final choices were as follows: Processional for husband and bridal party: Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring Processional for bride: Canon in D Recessional: All You Need Is Love by the Beatles I have to be honest, for the sand ceremony I am not entirely certain what our violinist played. We were so focused on getting our sand into the frame that I barely heard a note she played! I will have to watch the video when we get it to find out!
  2. Hi Ladies! We just landed a few hours ago and wanted to send out a quick post to all the Barcelo brides. All of us made the right choice with Barcelo! They are fantastic! I loved my hair and makeup from the spa (I had Karla) and my fiance was impressed as well - the only opinion that really mattered. I had a hair trial here at home with my hairdresser, took photos and showed them to Karla who did even better than my hairdresser here. The makeup was flawless. If you want to pay $600 for Adrian and can afford it, then you could certainly go that route. However, I think if you have pictures you can show them and make the effort to communicate, they are more than happy to accommodate and exceed your expectations.
  3. We leave tomorrow morning at 6:30 am - eek! Angela, if I am able to then I will try to take pics of Palmeras Grill for you and post them when I get back. Good luck planning!
  4. We leave Tuesday but still have a few decisions yet to make regarding dance songs and cake cutting song. However, our ceremony music is finalized as is our reception entrance song and dinner music. For the ceremony we have a violinist. It was challenging to decide but we are going more classical with some of these choices: Processional: Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring Bride: Canon in D Sand Ceremony Music: "Storybook Love" by Mark Knopfler (from "The Princess Bride") Recessional: La Rejouissance
  5. I am as bad at this game as Aphrodite so I have no idea on the designer! I think the train is lovely and not too long. Either way you will need to get it cleaned before storing it for good.
  6. 9 days and counting! We leave on the 7th and I cannot wait! Good luck and congrats to all the brides!
  7. Bridal shower/bachelorette party was yesterday. My friends are AWESOME! We had brunch and played games. My friends gave me advice in envelopes for milestones in our marriage. Something I will always cherish. Afterward we went out for salsa dance lessons so we have some moves for Mexico! Hope all of your showers/bachelorette parties are as fun and memorable as mine was!
  8. Ok, sorry for the multiples. My pop up blocker was engaged and not allowing me to post. One last time! Tungsten was the final choice. It looked much nicer on FI's hand and we actually liked that it was heavier than gold.
  9. What kind of ring did you buy him?
  10. My browser didn't allow my post to appear. Sorry for the multiples. Quote: Originally Posted by Brenners FI and went to a few jewelers before deciding on tungsten and this ring specifically:

  12. I have jbmarch2012's information so we are set to exchange when I get back! Thank you jbmarch for sending that to me so quickly! He has a couple stones missing but all and all is looking pretty good given the miles the little guy has traveled. I might see if I can find some replacement crystals before we leave and try to glue them on. The journal is amazing. I think I will be making photocopies of it because reading what the other brides had written made me cry. It is so beautiful! You have an amazing gift to keep and remember for the rest of your life!
  13. I believe that this is the most recent line up for kellygrrrl's clear starfish. I just received it in the mail today from JayKay. Thank you JayKay for getting it to me in plenty of time for my wedding. This is something that I have really been looking forward to as a part of my wedding day. When I read the notebook, I started to cry. I am so happy for all the brides who have had their special wedding days and very excited for myself and future brides to come!
  14. elissae, J Crew actually has tons of leather ballerina flats and you may be able to find a butterfly embellishment like the one below at Michaels or another craft store. Just an idea to keep in mind to lower the cost of your dream shoes! Good luck!
  15. Avens this is great! I LOVE the coconut in the heart idea and am totally stealing it! We do not want the clinking glasses either so that is a great idea! The reviews and pics are fabulous and very helpful. Your wedding was beautiful and you look like you had fun. Congratulations!
  16. Your photos are beautiful Stacey! You and your husband look so happy. Congratulations!
  17. cdc150 that is a beautiful dress and you look so happy! Clearly the one by the look on your face! Congrats!
  18. Lol AllieH! There were many dresses I loved in photos and on the hanger that did not love me at all! One of the designers was at the boutique when I came in to try on dresses and the sales staff kept trying to put me in her gowns and all of them looked horrible on me! The dresses were lovely but just not meant for me. That poor designer was probably heartbroken to see her designs on me when she envisioned them on a size 0 when she designed them!
  19. Hi Macker, 1. Yes, it is $66 per each additional guest over your 15 included in the package. 2. String lights are $5 per string. There are a total of 10 strings so the cost total is $50. 3. The reception table decorations include chair covers, chair sashes, table cloths, napkins and one centerpiece that comes with the Strawberry Passion package. They do not provide seating cards. Hope this helps. I know that Barcelo has many weddings now as this is their busy season. How long has it been since you emailed your wc?
