I had the most amazing wedding here on May 15 and I am putting all the pics and stuff together. I will post my review here shortly. Honestly, it was the most amazing week of my life and all 65 of my guests loved it. We are thinking about having a 1 year anniversary party here next year I had some doubts when I was planning since the resort name changed 3 times in 6 months and the original wedding coordinator went on maternity leave 3 weeks before I was planned to be married, but in the end, there was NOTHING I would have changed. I can't even believe that it was better than I could have ever imagined. I just got married in puerto morelos at now jade riviera cancun. I hired oscar nunez as my videographer and he was AMAZING!! He gave me an unedited video, a full edited video, and a short ipod/web 10 min video to share. He did the video in 5 days!! Seriously , it was 100% better than I could have ever imagined! If you facebook friend me, you can see the video. I tried to upload on you tube, but the songs were copyrighted. Just put in the message that you want to see my wedding video, so I know it's not spam. His email address is [email protected] I LOVE the videos!! He also spent time detailing each of the CDs (the pics on the CDs and the covers) as well as putting in the songs we wanted in the video. Seriously, he was a perfect 10! We are getting married here on May 15! It is just around the corner and I am starting to get nervous, since I haven't been really keeping up with the planning. How is your planning going?

This sounds like my personal nightmare. I am so sorry for you and I am trying to book someone right now and I pray that it doesn't turn out like that b/c I probably would have killed him. If it does help, you look beautiful in your pics

I was thinking of also booking Victor since he prices are so reasonable and he is available for our date. Is anyone concerned about a language barrier? I don't speak spanish and I am just worried about making sure to get the pictures I want and getting feedback from the photographer while he is shooting. Any thoughts, or experiences from anyone?

I don't know how to post pics and I think you have to have enough points to open the attachments. Some of the pics I have seen, the brides have just uploaded to a website (kodak, pictage etc.) and then just put a link to that website. BTW, the new wedding form has a place to put a wedding/ specialty cocktail, does anyone have any good ideas?

We ordered the grooms suit about 3 weeks ago and it came today! It looks great! We ordered it in the navy blue. The quality is great- it seems pretty heavy and even though it was stuffed into a plastic bag when it arrived, it was not that badly wrinkled. I think it might hold up in the heat. We are planning on having all the groomsmen order it also, with shipping, it was $130. The only slight disappointment was the color. We ordered the navy, and it is navy, but it is really dark and basically looks black. We were hoping it was more blue. It still looks great though, but maybe a little more formal than we were expecting.

Has anyone had fireworks at the end of the night for their wedding in Puerto Morelos? We really want to have some firedancers after dinner and then to end the night, we would love to have fireworks. Does anyone have any thoughts or ideas of prices? Thanks jen

Hi girls, I just wanted to post some info that Sandy gave me this week so everyone has some answers to some of their (and my) questions: 1. Our photographer is Juan Navarro their web site is Juan Navarro Photographer , they are a team of very experienced people specially for weddings they work with Dreams Cancun and Secrets as well. They are very easy to work with and you can reach Juan directly at [email protected] 2. Our DJ Service is very complete it includes DJ , speakers ,microphone , MC , mixer and lighting , they speak English and play music for all different ages , their equipment is very modern , we are a little bit restricted with DJ and electrical equipments because few months ago a DJ used a non compatible equipment and burned his computer and our electrical break. We can arrange if you want a meeting with them upon your arrival so you can make sure of their services . 3. Finally some of the brides are wondering why there is not information o records of other weddings. The reason is because our property is pretty new , it is only one year old . The rooms are fantastic and very modern , our team is very experienced and they really like the wedding groups . I personally have been doing this 6 years . My last job was Dreams Tulum I got a lot of experience there since we had several weddings , however this resort is looking for very personalized wedding service that is why we guarantee do one wedding per day when it is more than 20 guests so this can be YOUR day. When we do 2 weddings is because they are very small and intimate ceremonies , and those are in different times and locations but it is not usual. Hopefully this helps some of us. If anyone gets some answers to questions they might have, it might be helpful to post them, so we don't keep asking her. Later!

Hi Beihnbag! I agree that I wish that there were more pics and info on NH. It am glad to hear that Sandy is great in person and that you liked the resort. We went with the luxury pkg too. I was thinking of hiring an outside photographer for the day of the wedding and using the resort photographer for the day before or after, but I am still not sure who I will be using. I have some pics that a bride send me. If you want to see them I can email them to you since I don't have enough points to view any pics either:) BTW, when you were there did you notice a big difference in the paradise club and the main side? Most of our guests are staying the in paradise club, but some are staying on the other side. I am guessing that they will just have a different color bracelet (?) Have you gone dress shopping yet?

It sounds like everyone likes these suits! Has anyone ordered a navy linen from this site? We were hoping for something darker than the traditional linen/beige to make the wedding feel a little more formal. Also, anyone who has ordered the suit- how bad is the wrinkle factor?? I know that certain linens REALLY wrinkle up fast, while other linen isn't too bad. Thanks so much!!!

I am SO excited to hear that the wedding was fantastic!!! It is so hard since it seems that not to many girls get married here. I would LOVE to see your pictures, whether you post then online or if you want to send them to me privately ([email protected]) What was your favorite part of the wedding? What would you change? Plus, did you stay longer in Mexico after your wedding? We are going to stay at NH for a week, and not sure where we will go for the next week. I can't wait to hear details ~jen

I have never actually seen barefoot sandals, are they basically like a pretty toe ring/ bracelet? Is there anything on the bottom?

We are planning on getting married in Riviera Maya (Puerto Morelos, MX) and then maybe traveling to Cozumel for 1 week or down south to Tulum for 1 week. I haven't seen that many posts about Cozumel, does anyone have any experience there? We haven't been to the Carribean side of Mexico ever, so if anyone has any advice, I would love to hear it. Hi Ladies! I had a hard time getting a response in the beginning from Sandy too, but once I booked the date and package, I haven't really bothered her. She did send me the wedding book so I could pick out flowers/cake/dinner stuff but said I wouldn't need to make a decision until March. I can't wait to see pics from your wedding, Rachel! I am trying to decide what to do about a photographer and a DJ, but other than that, I am hoping that everything else will be pretty smooth. How are your plans?

Rachel, Its so exciting that you wedding is coming up! I am also happy to hear that your friend checked out the resort and she liked it. It is a little crazy to think that I am spending all this money and having so many guests fly to a resort i have never been too. BTW, I am so happy to hear that you are bring an outside photographer. I forgot to ask her if it was ok, and it was pretty important to me. Who are you using? someone in the area? I am just finishing my STDs, so my next big task is the DJ and photographer. How is everything else coming?

Hi!! Congrats! I am getting married at the NH on May 15! I have been working on my STD's and I finally have them at the printer right now. How is the planning going?? Where did you decide to have the wedding at? We are planning on doing it in the "Seaside Garden" since I would love to have some green in my pictures. I am still trying decide on colors, but I have been leaning to blue/orange. It's nice to see other NH bride on here!

Hey Rachel! Thanks again for the wedding book. It was pretty much the same thing as the informational sheet, but I did enjoy looking at the pics of the flowers and cake. Hopefully you get the pics of the wedding, I sent them from a different email, so let me know if you don't and I can re-send from my regular email. Just curious, do you think you are going to use the resort photographer or bring someone else in. The pictures are probably the most important thing to me, so I think I will probably look for someone else to bring in. Any thoughts?

I have emailed a dozen resorts/wedding planners to find a Sat date in the spring. When I found out she had May 15 available, I have been emailing her back and forth trying to get a confirmation. I just met with my travel agent today to nail down the details of the hotel for our guests. Since we are having a large group (50-100), I was kind of worried about where the reception was going to happen. I had a girl email me her photos today that had her wedding there in April. I am still waiting to hear back from Sandra. She told me what dates she had available, and I told her which one I wanted, but I haven't heard from her yet. I didn't send her a deposit or anything yet, so I really wish she would get back to me so I could confirm it. I am meeting with my travel agent tomorrow, so I was really hoping that she would have emailed me back. What does the wedding book have it in? Did she email it to you, or mail it to you? Hi! I am pretty sure we are going to get married at the NH next May. I had been trying to work with the wedding coordinator from Dreams puerto aventuras and I don't think they have any dates that will work for us. I think the NH resort looks awesome. I have not found anyone with pictures of a wedding here. Have you found any pictures? I was hoping that Sandy would send me some, especially of the banquet hall! She did send me a few pictures of the area in the buffet room that was decorated and an outside reception set-up. Did she send you those?

ugh! Jacy can be so frustrating. I don't understand how hard it is just to email me the fri /sat dates that are available in april or may. I feel like I have to specifically ask for a date, and then by the time she emails me back and gets my email, someone else already has taken it!!! Ok, sorry, just had to vent!
