Here is the new 2010 Grand Palladium Wedding Guide. Basically, the "Just Married Package" is really skimpy. You don't get any flowers or decorations for the ceremony. The "Tropical Package" is in my view the best deal for the money. You get flowers and decorations for the ceremony, plus cake and sparkling wine for toasting after the ceremony. All the packages beyond that one provide benefits for the bride and groom and not for the guests, so I don't think they're worth the money. WEDDING MAGAZINE 2010.pdf

Here is all the restaurant menus. If you have a larger group (mine is 20-30), then you have to pick a set menu. You can choose items all from 1 restaurant's menu. You get 1 appetizer, 1 soup, 2 entrees and a dessert. You don't have to be seated in that restaurant to get that particular restaurant's menu. Hi, I just called and was told that because I have 20-30 guests, I could book either the blue lagoon on the poseidon for my dinner. I would have a set menu. Does anyone know which one is nicer to have the reception in? I'm not planning on making it private. Also, I should be getting the menus in my e-mail soon. I'll post them once I receive them!

Hi, We're having our wedding at the Grand Palladium. I've been trying to sign up with different websites to receive some gifts (i.e. waterskiing, spa package, boat tour) while we're there. However, it seems like the registry website I've checked don't include the Grand Palladium. Has anyone found a registry that includes it? Thanks!

I like the first dress, but you might be able to change it as long as the store hasn't put the order through to the dress-maker. You should call and ask. It might give you more peace of mind and it doesn't hurt to call. If all your bride's maids love the dress though, you should be really happy. It's rare that all the bride's maids are excited over the dress they get to wear.

In terms of purrell, the dollar store has some scented no-name brands. They come 3 to a pack. I brought them to Europe with me and they worked wonderfully.

Hi, I'm getting married in April 2010 at the Grand Palladium and I decided to bring my own photographer. Not all of the packages at the Grand Palladium include photographs. I figured that since this is the one thing that I'll really have to look back on, I'm going to splurge on this area. Does anyone know what the vases are like that they provide? I really want tall ones so that I can put a flower submerged in water inside and then a floating candle on top. Also, which is a better location: the gazebo or the beach? Has anyone witnessed a wedding there? Is there a substantial difference in the decorations from package to package? Thanks!!!!

You could put: "Seafood will be served for dinner, kindly let us of any dietary concerns." That would cover allergies, vegetarians and picky eaters.

Does anyone know what the differences really are between the packages? It seems like the price jumps up hugely (both the base and the per person rates) for each package, but the new additions seem to only benefit the bride and groom (i.e. spa packages). Also, does anyone know how much it costs to golf there?

Hi all, We're planning on getting married the last week of April 2010. We've been trying to decide on a hotel that would be economical for our guests, beautiful and offers the wedding packages relatively inexpensively. We've been thinking mainly about the Riu Ocho Rios and the Grand Palladium. Does anyone have any experiences they want to share about these two resorts? Thanks!!!
