I'm still at a point of gathering information...my FH and I are currently long-distance, and I have a feeling it'll take at least a couple of months before we are even close to having a venue and a date. Happy Planning and again, Congrats!

Did you meet your fiance online?
CnC replied to nicmicj's topic in Share your Wedding & Engagement Stories!
Yes, we did! We met on Match.com. When I was in my previous 5-yr relationship (I never thought it would end; in fact, we almost got engaged twice during that 5 yr period, looking for rings, talking about wedding venues, etc.), I used to encourage my single friends that I would totally try online dating if I were single. Well, when the relationship ended, I thought I should live by my own advice. So, I signed up for their 6-month guarantee. My FH was the very last guy I met with before the 6 month ended! His "inside" and his mind are exactly what I've been looking for, although physically, he was not my "type". But he had me at his first message - funny, thoughtful, articulate...14 months later from the day we first met (first date, or what I call meet-and-greet), he proposed! I cannot be happier and I'm so glad I tried online dating. It felt funny telling people we met online at first, and it still feels a bit funny when asked and answered; but he is my ultimate dream guy! Turns out we actually knew a friend of a friend - so who know? I potentially could have met him on another occasion, but this way, we met sooner than we potentially could have! Match.com 6-mo guarantee works! Haha! -
Melissa's Playa Del Carmen Wedding Review-NON Resort wedding

Beautiful wedding! -
Incredible! What nerves! I'd totally be peeved...I mean, is there any way that she thought this was funny? Some sort of misguided twisted humor ... Probably not... I'd just let it go; enjoy your wedding. But, I would distance her...just don't keep her near so that she won't have any chance to cause drama and upset your feelings; not only for the wedding but for a long time until she grows up!

It's located in the center of the resort in a garden like setting. That sounds beautiful! Can't wait to see some pictures!...I had a hard time finding pics online...

Wedding Dress Confusion.

Here's what it looks like... Stunning! I guess I should note to keep my mind open! I haven't tried a single dress on, but in my head, know exactly what I want...but seeing this post made me become aware that I really need to keep an open mind. Thanks, ladies! -
Help me choose a dress!
CnC replied to linzangel's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Both look amazing on you. I'm inclined to #1 (one w/ beading)...but agree with others that #2 may be more appropriate(?) for a beach ceremony. Whichever one you choose, you'll be a gorgeous bride! -

How frustrating! I've also sent out some inquiries but haven't heard back (but it's only been a few days)...Good luck! -

I honestly wanted to comment on ALL rings! They are beautiful! Here's mine: -
Hi ladies! Just got engaged and looking for a location. Puerto Rico sounds like a great place, but anyone know of a non-denominational/protestant church? My FH is Catholic but I am not. We are planning on a non-denominational ceremony; and I would love it to be inside a church...any ideas?

My FH and I are most likely relocating to Bay area in the Fall and I thought it might give me a bit more control to have our wedding in the Northern Cali, but still have the feel of a destination wedding. Any winery that you might particularly recommend?

Thought I would read some posts and see what all is out there! Thanks, Lyz PS-Is it just me or are there very bizzare Smiles to choose from? lol Hi Lyz, Congrats on your engagement. I'm on the same boat! We are looking at Mar/Apr 2010, and we also have no clue where or even how many ppl to invite. Good luck and here's to us finding our dream venue! And, no, it's not just you. They could do better with the graphics on this site. But the information/content is what counts!

It appears, (and it makes sense), that most (if not all that I've found) Mexican churches are Catholic...any other non-denominational church/resort locations? Mexico? Caribbean?

Congrats, Ana! What a beautiful wedding! I see that you are from T.O? I love your dress! Mind sharing where you got it? My parents live in Toronto and I'm debating whether I should have my mom come shop for the dress with me either in Chicago/Dallas; or just head on home and shop with her there. If you have any recommendations, that'd be great! Thanks! Congrats, again. You are a beautiful couple!
