  1. We went with dulce as well! They were so easy going and had really creative shots that we loved!! They are amazing people to deal with! Definitely recommend them!! Here are our pics if you wanna check them out: ..:: Pictage | Registration ::..
  2. Best Bridal Hawaii is PHENOMENAL! They usually have specials going on if you check their website, and their customer service is just amazing. They are true professionals & if we ever have a vow renewal sometime down the road, they will be our #1 choice
  3. I had a great experience with Watanabe Floral! I spoke to Rona & she was awesome to deal with.
  4. I had my wedding there in February... it was absolutely STUNNING, and all the ladies at Best Bridal Hawaii were SO WONDERFULLY AMAZING!! I cannot begin to explain just how accomodating they were. I'll post my pro pics so you can see how it looked! They also offered to play the bells and have the guests standing at the stairs blowing bubbles as we walked down... it was beautiful! Yes there were some strangers OUTSIDE looking, but they were just really happy for us and everyone was congratulating us! They respected our privacy and did not stand around or get caught in the pictures.... It was a lovely experience and i am still elated about choosing them Take a look at our pics, hopefully that will convince u to go with them!! <3 ..:: Pictage | Registration ::.. PS. the rainbow suites were renovated since i last inquired about the room.... before the renovations, i didn't like how it looked so we didn't go with them. but after seeing the new place it looks AWESOME! and it overlooks the lagoon!!! Totally wish i couldve went with them especially if i had the #'s to meet their min. revenue req't. (we had about 30 guests)
  5. I highly recommend Germaine's Luau as an option, esp. for such a small party. It was 72/adult which includes the bus ride to & from our hotel, 3 drink tickets and of course your buffet dinner. The atmosphere was just soooooooooo warm & friendly, we were all made to feel like 'ohana' there. Not only do you get a buffet dinner but a beautiful, one of a kind show. There were about 7 buses, and each bus had 1 group leader... our leader was amazing!! he was so funny, and helped us all become friends with one another. i went with a group of 11 (our family) with a full bus, and we had our own table. it was unforgettable!!! my reception dinner was actually at Tiki's (Food was DELICIOUS!!!!) but after going to Germaine's i wish we had it there instead w/ all the fun stuff included!
  6. Looking for a reputable limo company for our wedding day... I was looking at Platinum Limousine. Any reviews on them? Thanks:)

  8. my photog suggested meeting up before the ceremony to take photos... however my ceremony begins at 12noon and i would really like to not to see the groom til then. we have the chapel for 90 mins so we gotta be outta there by 130, and then i wanted to take photos somewhere nice around the island until the reception dinner at 5:30. those who have done something like this, how did it work out for you? do u wish u got them all done before the ceremony? thanks!
  9. Can anyone suggest beautiful photography sites to go to with the bridal party after the ceremony? Preferably more private/less people in the background. Thanks!!
  10. Try Best Bridal Hawaii. They have some Summer specials going on right now until the 31st. good luck!!

Vivrant thing....did you get the link to the kodak gallery to see all the pictures? If not I can upload a few at a time to you. Let me know! Thank you so mmuch for the pics!! wow... seeing them made me soo much more excited about th wedding I'm glad you got to reserve the date! Hope you have better luck in trying to reach them.
  12. That happened to me to, but i realized i searched for 1 person vs. 2 people in a room! it makes a huge difference! hope that helps
  13. Anyone know where I can get star fish favours in Oahu? I found some on ebay but I was unsure if it would cause problems if i took them on the plane in a checked bag. thanks!
  14. I'm a noob to this wedding stuff... I've only been to 1 wedding before getting engaged and they had a wayyy bigger budget than i do, so it's really difficult because i don't have much to compare to. also, my bridesmaids are young noobs too (MOH is my sister who will be turning 17 2 days before the wedding, and bridesmaids are going to be 19, 23, and 23). only one bridesmaid has 'wedding/bridesmaid' experience so i also don't have much help there either. also considering that all of them are in school, i understand how difficult it is to afford flights, hotel, etc. for hawaii (no all-inclusives). however, i too am in school full-time and have a son in daycare (leaving me with very little to save up for every month)... so anyways i've paid for their dresses which came up to about $200 each x 4... i bought them some cute aritzia beach totes (on sale for $10 each), and was planning on buying them some Victorias Secret luggage tags or passport holders (around 15 each). however, someone suggested that i should pay for their hair & make up too (100 each x 4) which is another 400+ for me!! :S i didn't budget that much for them, but then i do feel bad that they have to pay for their trip. i'm so stuckkkkkkk! is it rude to ask if they would wanna do their own hair & make up that day? If they say no then i will pay for them... but it is way over budget already :S
  15. WOW.... i'm speechless... all i can say is what a major B*TCH.. i woudl be so pissed too. i have a relative that pisses me off like that too and i just can't think about her without my blood pressure rising
  16. nm, they said that an exception for that can be made! for anyone else who wants to knw
  17. thats a great option, thanks! is that what you are doing? I wonder how many songs i'll need to last the whole night

I used the organist they had for $60 and it was regular wedding music but it was nice to hear real music rather than from a cd. I did not book the mInister from Best Bridal Hawaii, which I now regret becasue I booked Alice Inoue who is supposedly one of the best Ministers in Oahu, but she did not show up on time, we only had the chapel for 90 mins from 1-2:30, and our ceremony was to start at 1:30, allowing plently of time to go back in the chapel after the ceremony to take posed family pics, but Alice didn't show up until 2:10 and rushed through our ceremony then we had to be out of the chapel by 2:30 or else it was a $4500 fee. Flowers - I used the florist at the Hilton Mamo Village flowers, they were quite expensive and I wasn't totally in love with the flowers but they were nice. I had the a la carte package at the OCC which included the standard photo package Photographer - I also booked our own photographers, Dulce Photographer, Mike Pham and Johanny, they were AWESOME! they came around 12 and took pictures of us getting ready, then helped bring my dress to the bridal room at the chapel to take pics, they even drove two cars to the Hilton so that they can take us off site. I haven't seen the pictures yet but I give them 2 thumbs up for service. If you are looking for photographers, I highly recommend them and you can let them know I referred you. Makeup - I booked Bev (makeupbybv) she was ok, did the makeup really quickly, overall i was happy with the results. Dinner reception at the Rainbow Patio @ Hilton- the food was superb! Hope this helps! Happy planning everyone...by the way the Hilton Hawaiian Village is beautiful, I would definately stay there again!! I would LOVE to see pics from your reception @ the rainbow patio! that is the only location HHV was able to offer us according to our group size, and from the pictures she sent us i wasn't too thrilled about it. but the fact that we're all staying there makes it so convenient! i would love to see how the set it up for a wedding!
  19. thanks girls! i liked frank amodo's photos but it was way out of our price range unfortunately terra photos would better suit my budget! thanks island princess! & thats too bad aboout ur photographer (princessina) But thanks for the heads up! will look out for your review!
  20. thanks! we're getting married at the Hilton hawaiian Village in honolulu
  21. thanks everyone for all your input! after attending a cousin's wedding over the weekend, i decided that i do want to do the first dance and bridal party intros. however my top two banquet halls that could accomodate my number of guests do not allow amplified music... only strolling musicians (hawaiian duo/trio, string quartet, harpist, etc.) . but I have a specific song that i would like for our first dance which would require some sort of amplification. are you getting a DJ? im still debating on whether it would be worth it or if we could somehow work it out w/ the caterers about having that half hour w/ our music. sorry if this was confusing!
  22. Hi, I am very interested in this venue for our reception as well. We are expecting about 25-30 people. however, they have a non-amplified music policy..... which is a bummer bc i really wanted to do the first dance & bridal party introductions. do u think they could allow it just for that half hour?
  23. i'm waiting to see adnil's reviews & pictures too!
