Andrea, I am not doing a TTD session so I am not buying a 2nd dress. However, my dress was super cheap (under $200) and its gorgeous. Not typical gown though, if thats what your looking for: OC by Oleg Cassini Beaded Waist Halter Gown - - Nordstrom It looks pretty ivory in these pictures but in reality it was pretty white. The beadwork is kind of silver... I tried on 3 other ones from Nordstrom and they were all gorgeous. The pictures online so them no justice. Nordstrom takes them back for no charge too if you decide you dont want to keep it. For example, I have a size 6 and 8 now and waiting to see which one fits better come April and time for alterations!

Really, I should be old enough to grow out of that seeing as it was 2 decades ago, but nope!!!

I made a crustless quiche - which is really fancy name for what it was: sauteed mushrooms, onion, spinach, green & yellow peppers - added chopped tomatoes at end. Poured into a 8" cake pan and added 8 egg whites and 2 full eggs. I added about 2 oz of mozzarella and mixed it all up nicely and baked at 350 for 35 mins. Let cool. I cut it into 6 slices - and will eat 2 a day for the breakfast & morning snack. It takes a while but do it on Sunday night and it makes 3 breakfasts which is what I need for Mon, Tues, Wed. You can mix it up and make different styles with seasonings and veggies: Italian, Mexican, various types of Mushrooms, or even add some meat to it. Not sure if that will help you to mix it up enough Kathy!

Good morning girls! well I am on Day 2 today. Yesterday was fine - I find that I can control myself at home - but at work is a different story! I dont think I have ever started a diet the week of Thanksgiving - haha. Just going to stick to turkey and veg this year - and I guess a sweet potato since it'll be a High GI day. I'd rather cheat on Saturday when I can go get wings and drink beer! Who wants to cheat on stuffing?!?! yuck! Hope you all have a good week!!!

Shanda - thats no joke - your photographer took such great pictures! Congrats. Thats also the first time I saw pix taken post ceremony under the wedding gazebo thing. What a nice backdrop - I am definitely going to do that. Your colors turned out great and your wedding gown is beautiful! Looks like it was nothing short of fabulous!

Hi girls, happy Friday!!!!!! This weekend I am refereeing 2 touch rugby games, playing in one game, and playing a round of golf. Whew! Might not be much time for wedding stuff to get done. You might find this funny but my To Do this weekend is to organize my To Dos. I keep getting ideas for things like to put in my Welcome Bags - but not going to buy everything for a while - and I have a thousand sticky notes with scribbles on them! So I need a central place to store all of my ideas. I do have the bags I want to buy, BUT I dont want to ask Mark if he likes them before I buy them b/c I am pretty sure he'll say no - but what do you guys think? My colors are pink & orange: ORANGE GIRAFFE MICROFIBER SHOPPER TOTE #SH13-82 PINK GIRAFFE MICROFIBER SHOPPER TOTE #SH13-80 I know they are more feminine, but really, when is pink & orange not feminine?! Hope you all have a great weekend!!! Amy

Hey girls, my FI and I were considering getting legally wed in the US before Mexico. Ive heard its a pain to ever get copies of your marriage cert and other reasons we are considering this. I personally do not think it will take away from our wedding, as we'll treat the courthouse marriage as not the "real thing". Still,I am nervous AND I made the mistake of telling a couple people and they kept saying "dont do that - it will ruin it!" Ok, so plan is to not tell a soul and have everyone believe we are getting married at the ceremony they attend. Anyone been there done that? Thanks chicas!

Thanks for the tip KH. My new to do now is to make a list of all the things I need to buy when I am in the states for Thanksgiving next week for me to bring back to Bda for the wedding stuff (place settings, etc). Hey CristaLee - I have not heard of anyone doing the butterflies. I watched about every slideshow from Claudia Rodriquez (Claudia Rodriguez | slideshows) and every blog entry from Elizabeth Medina to figure out what I wanted for my ceremony and reception. But you know, I don't remember seeing any butterflies there either! You could try to post a thread in the main Mexico or ceremony ideas site to see if anyone knows about it?

Good luck with the diet, it's really not that hard once you learn everything! Thanks Lisa. Do you think I can skip the phase in 3 week part? I want to start NOW but with Thanksgiving and all the Xmas parties coming up, I need that weekly cheat day I really like the variety the diet has, though I am nervous about the Higher Gl days with no fat. I really like my rice, bread & pasta w/ butter ! I guess I'll just have to do pasta w/ lean meat sauce.

Oh yeah - and FI's mom definitely wanted to invite her "crew" to the AHR. I love their friends and when the 5th out of 6 kids got married 2 years ago, they kept asking us when they get to go to the final kid's wedding. I would have felt bad not having something with them.

Hey irishgirl! Are you having one? - YES Formal or casual? - FANCY CASUAL - IF THAT MAKES SENSE - SUNDRESSES AND USING GLASSWARE, ETC What made you decide to have one if you are? - MY FIANCE HAS 4 STEP SIBLINGS THAT WE KNOW COULD NOT ATTEND DUE TO COST. I HAVE ONLY 4 COUSINS THAT I DID NOT INVITE TO MEXICO. SO, IT JUST MADE SENSE TO HAVE THE STATESIDE RECEPTION FOR EVERYONE WE WERE NOT INVITING TO MEXICO. I do have to say that my Dad is paying for a lot of my wedding and local reception. I am sure we'd still have a party afterwards, but I think it might have been smaller (like only family), and at a restaurant. We are having a catered party at a club house on the Chesapeake Bay for 100-110 people.

Hey girls! Good job you all for completing so many items. AmyKH, wow I spent all day saturday hungover on the couch and you were like a task maniac! Congrats. Lindz - your save the date bottles are AMAZING. I am totally jealous and I can't wait to hear what your girls say about them. So I called the 2 hotels in Maryland for my AHR this week and I have a contract in for one of them. I also called the caterer and have him booked for July 24th. He is going to send me some sample menus and we'll start picking and choosing as we get closer to the date. I feel very relieved for following through on my to do list! I also opened my very own PayPal account so I can buy the spa wraps I wanted for part of my bridesmaids gifts. Lastly, my Dad is in Miami now until Thnxgiving, so I asked him to pick up a shirt for Mark for the wedding - one of those fancy Cuban shirts - in white. Mark bought a polo for himself already but I want him to be a little dressier. AmyKH - Your guest book sounds AMAZING! I love the idea so much. I am also trying to do the whiteboard guestbook in mexico and chalkboard in Maryland. I was going to get a Polaroid camera for it - what are you using? Mark & I traveled the US after college together and took Polaroids (this was before digital cameras - haha) everywhere we went so I thought it would be a nice touch. I wonder if they still sell them!!! haha Amy F - WOW! I love the gray dresses and pink shoes combo! I cannot wait to see your pix. I loved that combo in Lindz's bottle gifts too. Have a good week girls! Oh - and lastly - I am down 5.5 pounds I have 14.5 more to go!

Hey girls! I want to lose 25 pounds for my May wedding. I am down 5 so far by going to bed every night a little hungry. So, I am looking for something that will help me get a move on the other 20 #s! Thanks for sending me the info. I read a little of it at work today, then will do the rest at home tonight. I am going to start on Sunday with my cheat day. I usually do not like snacks - I like 3 squares a day - so I am going to modify like this: Breakfast - eat 1/2 of what I make Snack 1 - finish breakfast Lunch - eat 1/2 of what I make Snack 2 - finish lunch Dinner Protein shake I also ordered 5-HGT which is a natural supplement that increases serotonin and helps you feel satisfied faster. Its also good for depression and anxiety, so I think it'll help me feel better about dieting! Good luck girls! And remember - that happiness looks best in wedding photos. So remain positive and know you get to marry your soul mate!
