    hi

    Congrats and Welcome!
  4. Congrats and Welcome. I would say one thing to keep in mind (knowing your guest count is 60) is that most wedding packages at resorts tend to cover the first 20 guests. There is an additional fee per person once you have exceeded the package amount. I would say the additional fee can range anywhere from $45 to close to $100. You can find more info if you do a search on your given resorts. Its too bad they dont offer larger packages (Maybe they do, but I'm not aware of?), as I will also be having a wedding in similar size to yours. Happy Planning!
  5. Congrats and Welcome! Beaches resorts have some exciting things going on right now with Martha Stewart coming on board to take place of Preston Baileys specialty wedding packages! Happy Planning.
  6. Congrats and Welcome. Very nice to keep the spirit of you mother in all your planning. You will find lot of great info on the forum. I'm not familiar with Plate chargers, so I direct you in the right direction. Wishing you all the best.

Congrats and Welcome! I would suggest using the search engine to look up the resorts you are interested in. There is SO much great information on here, so you should be able to find some reviews and threads on current weddings.

Congrats and welcome! The Riu and Dreams are great all inclusive options. All depends on your budget, as there are lots of nice options for villas. You could always stay at an all inclusive and do the wedding/reception at a villa? I'm not too sure about the weather...although I do know it is getting up there in temp in June. Happy Planning.
  14. Claire, congrats and welcome! I am also looking to get married in the Riviera Maya...still narrowing down options. How did you narrow your choices down to the two resorts you mentioned? Happy Planning.

Patrick congrats and welcome to the forum! You will find lots of great info on here. The Grand Riviera Princess is one of my options. Were you able to find good pricing? How has the resort been to work with thus far? Happy Planning.

  22. Hey Echo! This should be interesting...I have been working with a TA as well and had noticed the same thing with pricing being much higher than what I was seeing online. She has since looked into and requested a group rate from WJ and said the same thing about response time. So I will let you know what I hear from her. Your quote is direct fr WJ, so I'll be interested to see how much diff pricing will be. We are currently looking at April 2010, we are pretty flexible with the date. Do you have a particular date in mind? For us price is going to dictate more of when/how we book. Have a great weekend, chat soon!
