Hey Ladies, I added arreciffe on my FB as a like or group, whichever, anyway! point being they posted some photos of a wedding today, and Nestor really did do an AMAZING job... I'm STILL no impressed with the pricing, I found a PHENOMENAL videographer/photographer team, and for under 5000+ travel expenses, what you get is BREATHTAKING! Ah good a Mexico specific May 2011 thread  We're hoping to be a May 2011 couple, I think we've narrowed it down to the GBP, but I'm still open to suggestions lol!  For us getting married on the beach is important, though I do admit I REALLY like a lot of the resorts gazebo locations! But I am pretty set on having a Spiritual Mayan ceremony, the idea of being married by a Shaman totally works for me! Â

The new ceremony site, as I found on my own, is at the Barcelo it's called the Playa Azul, very pretty, but the Barcelo is most likely out of our range, as I only wanted to stay at the Palace!!

Hey Scottish, if you don't mind my asking what's on your list?? Â I saw you were asking if anyone had the Mayan Spiritual Ceremony, we haven't but that is what we're hoping to do... I saw pictures on Claudia Rodrigues' photo site, I think the photog was Albert or Alfred, either way he was the bottom photographer, the brides name is Dominika!!! Other than that I can't seem to find any other info other than the price!

OMG that's TOTALY BS, 3500 for 169 photos?!? Moments that Matter for 10 hours and 800 photos charge 3200 dollars! Â THAT IS SHEET! I don't care how good people seem to think that they are, they are NOT my first choice, and I wouldn't pay that much for a photographer, unless they were at my beck and call (figuratively) all day! Â Its looking to be cheaper to bring down my own photographer!! Â

what about OTHER outside vendors, like makup and DJ's.... Will we be allowed to outsource them still?? Â I'm hoping to do the Akumal Beach, I really love the look of the gazebo, but the reason I always wanted a DW was to get married with the sand between my toes, and be part of the elements and nature around me! Truth be told, I don't want to stay on the Tulum side, and FH is adament that Coba is WAY too far from the beach for him, though for me the Coba section is where I'd really like to stay!! Â How many ceremony sites are there at the GBP, all I know of is Tulums Gazebo, and Akumals Chuppa on the beach... IS there more??

No offence but when a newbie starts off all their posts going on and on and on about the vendor, and not much else, it looks suspicious!! I did say no offence ment! Â Do you have their pricing?? I've been looking for pricing information, and I honestly can't find anything concrete! Â Â

ummmm no offence I still think it's PURE BS that as bride paying an arm and a leg to hold my wedding at a resort, I can't pick who takes my photo's! Though I may not have MUCH of an issue with the quality of the photos... I really have an issue with being told that I can't have what I want, especially since I'm paying for it! Â If push comes to shove, we'll just take our wedding to another resort!!! Too bad cuz I saw some amazing GBP weddings on Claudia's photo site!

I hope the info that I heard is 100% wrong also, or that it's a case of broken telephone... I hate the idea of not being able to choose who takes my photos! Â

OMG way, love the site, and how exciting that u found ur dress, we still don't have a wedding date  To top it off, no one at Bahia will return my emails, and I really NEED to know pricing, and options!  is their ceremony and reception site photos in this thread?? I really would love to see photos of actual wedding receptions  OH and is there a GBP specific site, like the unnoficial Barcelo site?

I can't seem to find the thread-post that has the pictures and info!  I'd like to get some info on those two options, as I'm hoping to have a spiritual shaman performed ceremony, with hopefully fire dancers!

WAH I'm totally devastated right now, apparently Bahia has implemented absolutely no professinal wedding photogs rule, this "apparently" includes no guest professional photographers... PLEASE SAY IT AIN'T SO!!!! Â I'm still waiting on prices, and hopefully sooner than later, we'll be able to book, either GBP Akumal (FH put his foot down, no beach-no go) and Coba for him is a no go, so Akumal, or Barcelo Palace, at this point there's two things holding me back: Prices and Photography, I'm not impressed with arrecife, and I HATE being told what I can and CANNOT do when I'm dropping 6+++ grand on your resort, I mean it's not like I'm asking them to allow me to bring in a joint roller for the evening, just a photographer that I trust! kwim?? Â BTW anyone have fire dancers?? I really want some authentic/ethnic entertainment, and I saw in one of the Barcelo reviews a bride had them on her beach reception!! Â Here's to hearing back quickly from the TA and the resort, though I'm not holding my breath!!!
