i think i am inviting about 75 guests...but hoping for only 50...but some are singles so it still will be alot of actual mailings going out, not just half, u know...and i know at least a few that will def not go and this way by the time im ready to order the invitations, they know if they dont call me to informally rsvp i will be calling them to put them on the no or yes list...honeslty since its a DW, they should be booking or at least know if they will have the money to go by the time i send out the actual invitation...so i think thats fair to both of us...i dont want them to rsvp on the website because honestly not everyone read everything or is comp savy so i need to speak to them in person or over the phone to see what they are thinking or leaning towards, u know... but the suggestion about of ... "Please call to Informally RSVP by: ____" is perfect unless someone has somethign else better or nicer...and im still not putting invite to follow so they dont expect it...and alot of times peopel give you the run around..so once they say no..thats it, they can go ahead and book but im not goign to go crazy and order another batch of invites if some decide last minute...thats y im not putting invite to follow.... thanks for ur suggs, keep them comign lol :-)

okay so, i did my STDs through vista print on a postcard..really cute..but i put invitation to follow and my wedding website. But since im doing message in a bottle invites which can get expensive if you order alot, i do not want to send them to those truly not interested or def no goign . SO, i want to re-do the STD postcard to include wording to the effect of saying, please call to informally rsvp by... or please call to rsvp by... if interested. or i need a headcount so please rsvp by... i do not want to send a rsvp card since i will do that with the actual invite, i want them to just informally call me and let me know if if they think they may or may not go....so i will put my number after the wording i guess and i will not put invitation to follow...this way, if they respond to the std with a complete no, they can not assume an invitation will still follow the std.... i would also like a head count anyways to let the travel agent knnow and to see where my budget is headed.... help PLEASE SO I CAN REORDER THE stdS...THANKS LADIES..!!

i tried and they both are pretty expensive..its about 8-10.00 more than buyign the reg stamps...im goign to see if i can find a discount code somewhere

thanks to you both....but the reason i dont want to buy it over there is because i dont want to have to go over and have to search for this and be scared that i may not find it....do you know how much liq i can take through customs? i can always divide them through out me, my mom, my sis, my FI, my dad..etc lugage...but only if there is a limit and i can at least bring some...i work in the height so im goign to check now on break time lol...i know 207 so ill check there also!! thanks ladies!!

anyone know where i can find brugal or any mini bottle of dominican liquor, i would like to use them as favors with shot glasses but i cant find them anywhere, even in the heights here in NYC where there is mostly dominicans!!! so annoying!! i have a feeling they dont come in mini :-(

my friend suggested sending "cheaper invites to the no's....im doign message in a bottle which can be pricey for people will i know will say no..so this is an idea...i am goign to see how many def no's i get and then ill decide what i will do....

i did a lil photo shoot when i was there on vacation...a compete package for video and photo all day is 2500.00..the photos are ok..i mean they use photo shop and they due black and white and stff...i hink a good photo will know how u look good and how to position u and stuff..he took about 100 photos and i only like 10...menaign the way i came out... he took a lot of closeup athat i was liek omg no! lol maybe i was being picky i dont know..send me ur email and ill email you the ones i have...

the money tree is cool but i think people will still think its wierd u know. i asked a couple of people, old and new...they all thought it was wierd, mainly because they have never attended anythign but a traditional wedding and never have been to a DW. so i think i am goign to do a regular BORING bed bath and beyond registry and also a honeymoon one. but i am goign to put, "please no boxed gifts" on the invite because its just smart for both the guests and myself not to be lugging boxes around...and both registires will be up for the bridal shower and the wedding i think that is fair enough does anyone have any ideas of better places instead of BORING bed bath and beyond ? lol i just really dont need anymore towels sheets or fryign pans lol thanks girls i appreciate all your input!!

so my FI and i live together and we dont need anythign as far as gifts....i would liek to put somethign on the invite that says somethign like no box gifts, but also only cash lol and of course that sounds horrible...but i do not want one of those websites because i know most of my guests wont know how to use it or bother with it. i would like to say somthign like your presence is present enough, but if you like you can make a donation towards our honeymoon. can anyone help??

my wedding is 4/18/10...i just ordered cheaper stds through vista print and i have 70 invited guest...but i am hopign for only 50...this was a tough one but i truly think not all 70 will come. i am hopign to send out expensive mesage in a bottle invites in sept to rsvp by 12/31/09. by then i should know whos goign and who isnt...so i wont spend extra $$ on expensive invites if they are truly not coming

HI, I am gettign married in PPR in early march2010. how did u book your stay already? i went there a month ago and i booked through expedia because it was wayyyy cheaper but expedia does not show dates for march 2010 yet. did you book through the hotel directly? because the hotel before and now is quoting me double than what i paid for my trip this past march. HELP! also, i am flyign for NY also.

but you wouldnt give a fan to a male riight? im considering doing ot bags of cheap things needed for the trip and then a nice keepsake with my monogram sticker or somethign of the sort....maybe umbrellas parasouls for the teen woman and older woman also instead of fans because i like the way it looks in pics...thanks!

Ok, so i dont know whats the differnce....at a reception, couples leave their guests gifts for each person...with the date and names of the bride and groom as a remembrance...is this a favor or a souvenir....either way, do u do this for DW? im confused. if so, any ideas on what would be a good one? for regualr at home receptions i have heard of tea light sets and candles? any other inexpensive ideas for a dw. somethign maybe i can put a clear sticker with my monogram on it....also, do you leave thses "gifts" per family in a household or per person? help? thanks ladies
