ivan was shooting my wedding in mexico too but now my travel company have cancelled my wedding (swine flu) i will no longer be meeting him in a weeks time ( i'll look out for all your photos they will be fantastic, i'm jealous! x

my wedding was too in 3 weeks in mexico but continuing to go wasn't an option for me. although i agree with everyones views, my guests don't. and i cant go without them. we have a number of children going and i couldnt live with myself if they took ill. so we have made the descision to go to jamaica instead and maybe will be able to return to mexico in the near future. we've had quite a bad week my travel company not helping me find alternatives, being rude to me and my family, we've put in a massive complaint about the shop, although the staff of the same company on the phone have helped me out fantastically, just not the people in the shop! although the shop have told me i'm there only wedding in mexico this month for them to sort out! they have done nothing! but the lady thats helped me the last 2 days if going to get a present from me for saving the day. wishing you all fantastic weddings in mexico!! you'll still have a wonderful time! i'm jealous! will look forward to seeing photos soon xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

question for the brides that have changed destinations.... have you had to pay extra to move your holiday and wedding if the hotel as cost more? this is the situation i'm in.. i fly on the 20th of may, none of my guests want to fly to mexico so i'm looking at other destinations, but none of us can afford to pay anymore money, its already cost a fortune and we can't find anything for the same price or similar dates. we have so much planned for june so moving the wedding back isnt really an option. yet my travel agents wont refund out money cos technically they havent cancelled the flights yet, (everyone follow? lol) just wondered if anyone has had to put money towards moving thats all really...

i've just been to see travel agents (thomsons) and they have stopped all travel to mexico today and tomorrow and are just taking things day by day at the moment. they hope things will be better by the end of the week. i'm currently looking into changing to another destination but no idea where? any ideas anyone? just so i got a back up incase can't go mexico. ( i'm from england and this is what thomsons have said to me so don't take this as its stopped everywhere because i dont know.

hmmm well apparently now we can't fly to mexico! just been watching it on tv in england. no flights to mexico! ahhhhhhhhhhhhh. best get down travel agents!

i'm too feeling the stress a little but if we can still fly to cancun then we will still be going! my guests are a little worried but won't be cancelling either. if we cant fly then our travel agents will change location. at first i was dissapointed with our travel agents as we booked the wedding through them and didnt feel they were doing anything for us. but now i'm thankful cos if we have to change destinations then they will sort out another wedding. fingers crossed this will blow over soon. dress fitting tomorrow so staying positive still! woohoo 3 weeks to go! katie xxxxxxxxx

hey everyone i'm getting a bit worried. i've been reading a few posts on here about the catalonia riviera maya. my problem is my wedding is in about 9 weeks and i haven't read any nice comments about the hotel photographer! are they really that bad? is there even time to book someone else?? has anyone used the hotel photographer? a worried bride to be! x
