  1. You look beautiful, great pictures, cant wait to see more, you must be thrilled.
  2. So, im back and exhausted but happy after our busy but brilliant whirlwind weekend, In a 10 hour round trip we managed to fit in a Hare Krishna wedding, an overnight visit to an old friend we havent seen in 9 years, talked him into being our wedding photog and attended an Indian wedding reception. Lots of alcohol, fast food, scrummy Indian cuisine, picnics by the river, sitting in the sun and time for friends, perfect. Ultimately very excited at the possibility of Having Christian as our photog, we havent worked out the finer details and nothings booked but he's so keen, and more to the point so relaxed and last minute that Im sure he'll come through for us... eventually. Check him out CJ Photography - Photographers UK - Model Portfolios UK - Wedding Photographer Oxfordshire

  5. You Lucky Girl, I would have loved to have done a planning trip for our DW but it was out of the question so we are doing this thing blind! Be sure to right a huuuge list of questions, take tons of pics and spy on as many weddings as you can whilst you're there LOL. Have a great trip. x
  6. I so need this, the old bingo wings are swinging... Now if I could just find somewhere to put this choc chip chunkie cookie down I'd give it a go! LOL
  7. So firstly , on Sunday I finally got around to doing some test prints of our invites, looking pretty good so far just need to source some nice paper for the Boarding pass jackets and find a template for some luggage tags. Last night (tuesday) I went to a mini bridal fair at Boots pharmacy, I got a glass of bubbly, a goodie bag full of samples and had my first ever beauty counter make-over at the age of 31! Really nice lady actually at the Estee Lauder counter, products way too pricey for my budget but it was another "first experience" to add to the list. Even better when I got to work this afternoon and raved about it my superviser gave me loads of full sized testers from our La Roche Posay skincare line to try before the wedding..Result! Looking forward to Friday, leaving very early to drive down south for Martin and Sitals wedding at the Hare Krishna Temple in Herts. Another new experience! Then moving on to a reunion with Christian, an old photographer friend we haven't seen since we worked together on cruiseships 9 years ago, cant wait. Hopefully gonna persuade him to come with us to Mexico and photograph the wedding... keep you posted.

How much did you girls tip D.J. Mannia and Landy? I know I've seen this a million times, but if someone wouldn't mind sharing that would be great. Also, let me know what you think about this...my ceremony is at 6:00, and we have d.j. mannia, so basically, if we did cocktail hour at 7-8, we wouldn't be done eating dinner until like 8:30-9, and have to be done with d.j. mannia at 10:30? I think that's not long at all...so, I'm thinking of a cocktail hour before the wedding? From 5:00-6:00, wedding at 6:00-6:30, and rite after group pics, the guests can head to the reception and begin eating rite away. I'm not concerned about eating honestly, I'm sure I'll get it in at some point..that way, we could get moving with d.j. mannia, etc. Let me know your thoughts, and if anyone can weigh in on how much photos, reception actually take, please let me know!!! Thanks!!! Lonna Hi Lonna, seems like your priority is to have more time for music and dancing afterwards so heres a thought... as you dont mind your guests seeing you before the ceremony at your cocktail hour why dont you start even earlier and get all your group pictures done beforehand as well. You could even get your couple shots done too, it may seem like a pain to be ready this much earlier than your ceremony but in my opinion we dont get to wear our dresses for long enough on the day any-way! That way you could have much more time after and get to eat, I know you say you dont mind not eating but you're gonna need something after a full day of chaos and champagne! Its nice to see people thinking about doing things a little differently, I think a DW really gives us the opportunity to think outside the box. Good Luck with everything.
