What was the weather like while you were there?

Were planning our DW at Beaches Negril. We have a tentative wedding date of December 2nd 2009. We would be leaving from Ontario on November 29th for 7 days. I'm really anxious to hear all about your experience and to see some of your pictures. We have approximately 20 guests coming with us. Were curious what your guests had to pay for a week at Beaches. Were still looking for the best prices possible so any help from you with this matter would be greatly appreciated. Nancy

Hello Everyone. I just wanted to share my experience with chosing my FI and Is DW location. I joined this forum early January 2009 and was feeling very overwhelmed with all the possible locations for a DW. My FI and I knew we wanted to get married in Jamaica but were quickly discouraged with some of the prices that we were getting back from our TA. We have two children ages 8 and 6 and we really wanted a kid friendly location. We had originally looked at some of the Beaches resorts but due to some of the other locations in Jamaica coming back quite expensive we put the Beaches on the "back Burner". Well to our surprise the price for Beaches came back quite reasonable. We were so excitted when we truely started looking at Beaches Negril. The pictures, the reviews and the prices were just too perfect. This upcoming week we will be booking our DW at Beaches Negril and will be getting married in November 2009. Our kids are really excitted. I just wanted to share this experience to encourage all you other DW brides to explore all your options. Even if you think that one resort might be more expensive, you might be happily surprised when you pursure it further. We have a large group travelling with us, approximately 30 - 40. Booking with a group has allowed us to get the wedding package free. We do want to have a private reception following the ceremony which isn't included in the package. We will work with the WC at Beaches Negril to ensure that have our reception, and we are prepared to pay the additonal cost of 75$/person to do that. If anyone has been married at Beaches Negril we would love to hear from you.

Welcome to the forum and congrats. I'm new to this site as well and if I can give you a piece of advice it would be to pace yourself! I've become very overwhelmed with information overload! My fiance and I are planning for an early winter 09 wedding and we still haven't decided. We've narrowed it down to Mexico, Jamaica and Punta Cana DR. Good luck and happy planning.

Hey everyone! I've read many posts on this thread b/c my FI and I have been looking for locations for our DW. One that we really liked is Bahia Principe. Could any of you tell me what the beach is like there? Thanks.

Congratulations! Your pics are stunning. You mentioned the weather. What was the average temperature while you were there? My fiance and I still haven't decided on a location, but we do know we want it the end of Nov 09 - early December 09. One of our main concerns is going somewhere and it not being warm... Thank you everyone! Talk about a nice welcome! I'm very excitted to be newly engaged. My fiance and I have met with our TA (travel agent) and were anxiously waiting to get back some prices on different resorts in Jamaica. Has anyone heard anything about the Beaches Bachubel in Jamaica? We have 2 children ages 8 and 6 and were trying to find a "kid friendly" resort. Also, if any of you know of any other resorts in Jamaica that's worth looking at I would definately appreciate your feedback. Again, thanks for the warm welcoming to this forum. Nancy
