  6. KLO - Looks like your day is almost here!!! How exciting! I'm sure everything will go beautifully! You can't go wrong with the Moon Palace! Maybe you guys can meet up at a lounge immediately following the ceremony (if you don't have a cocktail hour) and then just have some free time before you all meet up at 6pm for dinner:)
  7. Hi ladies, I'm not sure if I've commented on this thread yet but I've been trying to catch up on all the previous posts and it's taking me a while ... lol I'm still on Page 83 right now but feel like I know everyone already! That being said I feel I should tell you a little about myself to make it even I've been to the Moon Palace a couple of times before and absolutely love it. I'm going to TRY and keep it simple and just enjoy the day but we'll see how that goes...(I'm a self admitted control freak) I know it will be hard for a lot of people to attend our wedding with the way the economy is going but I'm hoping that since I'm giving them over 15 months notice they will have time to save up. Me and my fiance have 4 kids between the two of us. This is the second and LAST marriage for both of us. I have 3 girls and thanks to my fiance I now have a son too! We wanted to make this a family wedding trip so as long as they are there to see us get married that's all we can really ask for. Everything else is just icing on the cake Well, I guess that's about it for now... ~ V

Since we were in Mexico, I really wanted mariachis... so I had them come in at the beginning of my reception (not during the cocktail hour). As far as hearing the music, you are on the aisle/walkway for such a short amount of time (even shorter in the other gazebos) and there is so much going through your mind that I am not sure how loud the music was. I vaguely remembering hearing something, but I can't really say how loud it was. I really don't think it is a big deal because everything happens so fast... Inside the gazebo, the volume was not an issue. I don't know if this question was already asked or answered, but who stops and starts the music during the ceremony (ie. for the processional and the bridal entrance), etc?? Should I assign someone in the wedding party that task?... Thanks!
  10. I wanted to thank all of you for making me feel so welcome! I can't wait until our wedding! It is so far from now I feel like it will take forever to get here!
  11. Thanks KLO! and Congratulations to you too! I see your day is almost here! How exciting!
  12. Hello all, My name is Veronica and my fiance is Patrick. We're planning on having our wedding in April or May, 2010 at the Moon Palace resort in Cancun. We want a spring wedding but spring 2009 is a little too soon for us and our guests so we'll have to wait another year... oh well... just gives me a little more time to plan Thought this would be a great site to get some info from previous and future MP brides. We actually got engaged at the Moon Palace in May and I love it there! ~ Veronica (the future Mrs. Chilson)
