Great post!! We have been having the same debate. He got me our toasting flutes which were engraved with our Monogrammed initials....he put his name first, but I thought mine should be first.

Hey girls! We are still trying to decide on where our DW will be. Sandals, St. Lucia (my choice) or Napa Valley (FH's choice). We have set a deadline of Valentine's day to decide. It is in Michael's hands. His family is all in California....and we are in Illinois. I know Napa is his choice because more of his family and friends will be able to attend. I just need a destination to start planning!!!!!

I feel your stress! We are trying to decide on 2 different DW locations. We are thinking about Sandals, St. Lucia or Napa Valley. This decision is all my FH's. His deadline is Valentine's day. I wish I could be of more help, but listen to the others and know the stress will get better! Congrats!

Last Thursday, Nov. 20th was my fiance's birthday. We were at dinner in St. Louis with my parents. So dinner was over and we were finishing out glasses of wine...Michael thanked everone for a great dinner and birthday....he quickly followed that up with stating (and getting down on one knee) that the only thing that could make his birthday any better was me agreeing to marry him! OMG!!! I was so surprised. I immediately errupted into tears. Lots of tears. Tears of joy, but it was kinda embarrassing. You know I said YES! The restaurant burst into applause...lead by my mother. And then he put the beautiful ring on my finger.....which started more tears. The crying continued with every happy phone call Michael made on the way home, once we got home and were alone, when we went to bed, when I put on the ring the next morning, everytime I told the story at work.....and so on. I am sure you get the picture. We have been talking about getting married, and even have the date pretty much set. But it was something about it being said in public and with my parents that made it all feel real. I wasn't even thinking about him proposing that night....not on his birthday! I was....and still kinda am blown away. I found myself looking at the ring all day at work yesterday. Answering emails was actually fun....gave me an excuse to stare at my ring and not be obvious. The word at work spread like wildfire. I even had my sales staff from Phoenix and the east coast congratulating me! Wow! Ok....this has gotten WAY longer than I had intended. So anyway.....we have a tenative date of May 2, 2010 set. Destination is unknown.....we are think of everything from Antigua to Napa.

All of my friends think I am crazy for starting to plan. We are having trouble deciding a destination that is within our budget. I am in the process of researching about 15 different destinations. We thought we had our mind made up and then the longer we talked the more variables we added in and the longer the list got. I dont know what to do!

We are looking into Sandals, so if anyone has any tips or advice I am all ears! I am just starting all of this, so no plans have been made. We have set a date of May 2, 2010. Hello all! Another Newbie here! My name is Kelly. Michael and I will be getting married May 2, 2010. We have a date set and are starting to work on a few details. I don't have a ring yet, but suspect I will see it either around Christmas or the 1st of the year. The ring isn't the important part anyway. I can't wait to marry the man I love and become Mrs. Baker! We are looking into DW's either in St. Lucia at Sandals or somewhere in Napa. I think we are both leaning towards the beach idea, but I have to do lots of researching before we make our minds up. I will warn you now. I am a reseach freak and ask lots of questions.
