wow... we are the same... I leave in 4 days and have the curly hair... and no salon appointment.... the trick for me is going to be ALOT of product... when my hair is wet I'll put in a salon curling product (kinda like a lotion.. can't recal the name) then I use a clip to hold my hair up on top (to give some height) and wait for my hair to dry... if you have enough product (and not too much) you will have a mass of curls and no frizz(that everyone loves.. but looks like a mess to you and me) safe bet.. go simple.... I am use a pony tie and use bobby pins to bring the curls around... and pulling out a couple hairs around my face... try your hair a day or two before and practise.. also I am taking flat irons and three sizes of curling irons.. to work on it... I find on my long bangs (to my chin) if you let you hair dry naturally and then use a flat iron to straighten the hair right at the root (ironing up or to the side.. only about an inch or so... it will give you some lift) the curls don't get so out of control.. and lay alot nicer... good luck!

Mine is at 3pm.. hopefully it won't be too warm.. but I wanted to have plenty of time for picyures before the sun went down.. I wanted a 11am wedding.. figured get the wedding out of the way and get the party started!!!

We are giving our wine glasses as our party favours... (less clean up for us) We are having the bottom of the glass engraved with our named and the wedding date... We are getting married Feb 6, 2009.. (yay!) and the AHR is March 7, 2009. Would it look funny if the party favours have the date of the wedding rather than the reception date? I assume we would put the wedding date... what is everyone else doing??

UPDATE!! pictures of have been posted on Tripadvisor.... the PIER IS RE-BUILT!!! We leave on Sat morning 5am... 11 days until we're married!!!

Good idea!! I have already rpinted off all my emails and categories them.. (I am a stickler for having stuff in writing) I have updated the detail sheet and sent it back to her... it looks like she wants we to prepay for any guest attending the wedding who are not staying on the resort (we have 4 people).. yikes... I mean I knew there was a fee.. but I was hoping the guest would just pay as they enter... collecting this $$ after the fact from the guest could be awkward.. "Hi.. thanks for coming.. can I have $150 so you can be here & a wedding gift please... " haha... So I am trying to force them to collect the $$ that day.. they won't turn down extra cash if more people want to come... right?? lol Still no word on having to prepay this.. she sent me the sheet with the O/S balance.. but no mention of when payment is needed by... odd... but hell, I'll wait as long as possible before 'slappin' it on my credit card.. lol.. Two weeks today till I get married!! 8 days till we leave!!! OK now.. I am getting excited...

WOW Unreal... Girls.. check you detail sheet CLOSELY!! Here is a list of what is wrong... 1. Time of ceremony listed as 4pm (should be 3pm) 2. Missed flowers for the signing table 3. Scheduled day of free honeymoon dinner on the beach.. AFTER WE HAVE LEFT 4. Told us we can have two entrees (as a guest is allergic to shellfish) the entrees are listed as .. "steak OR fish" instead of AND She finally sent this detail sheet to me.. hmmm 15 days before the ceremony and 8 days before we leave.. nice.. and I doubt I will be getting much of a response from her before next Friday.. WOW Carolina although may type nice things.. I think she is a little clueless...

Kansas.. Who wants to go to Kansas (no offense to anyone from Kansas).. I'm still all pissy about it... but i guess I should move on.. lol I Audit Property Assessment.. and the Kansas people have a similar department.. So here is my schedule: Jan 31 - Feb 15 MEXICO (yaaa) Feb 22 - 25 Kansas (booo) March 7 AHR (yaaa) I have to hold off on changing my name otherwise my passport would be invalid for the Kansas trip.. UGG... (not like I would have chnaged my name that fast anywys.. but that's beside the point.. ) This is added to the fact we overinvited to the ARH.. and everyone is responding they are coming AND bringing thier kids.. Yikes... Don't get me wrong, I am very ahppy like us enough to come.. but I'm gonna have to make more centerpieces and tablecothes for it.. AHHHH... On the Upside.. the recent added stress has me down another couple pounds... :-) haha that's always a bonus...

OMG.. I just vented big time on here.. and the stupid site lost it all!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH on well.. I'll just yell at my co-worker.. he's a dumbass... that'll make me feel better.. (lol) almost there only 10 more days.. fly out of saskatoon on Jan 31.. stress is at an all time high.. brother being an ass, Boss deciding to send me to Kansas the week after I get home form my honeymoon and a week befire my AHR.. but 10 days until bliss.. sun and relaxation.. :-)

My understanding is you show up.. have your passport and get married... If you or your FI have bene previously married there is more hoops to jump through.. but from what I undertand it is VERY simple at EDSS.. three business days and blood tests and BOOM.. you are good to go... I asked Carolina for a document stating the requirements and it's very straight forward. You will need your tourist card (as it will bw passed out on the plane prior to landing) and all your witnesses (4 in total ) will need to show thier passports and tourist cards.. that is basically it..

True tracy.. although it is Mexico.. things happen at a very slow pace there.. haha.. Really not too worried.. a little disappointed if it doesn't work out... that's all... In the end the location doesn't matter, nothing can ruin the day beacuse I get to marrying my best friend.... all those details don't really matter.... (insert 'AWWWWE....' here... lol)

I tried my dress on up here (Canada) noted the style and designer... went on line and goggled it and found it in the US on ebay for less than 1/2 the price in a bridal store that was selling all thier NWT merchandise.. lucky for me cause I could not afford that pricing... I'm happy for you though!! that's awsoem it worked out for you

Ok.. going to mexico getting married in a strapless dress.. spend a week being stressed over not getting tanlines prior to the WD 6 days into the vacation... ok.. I can deal with that... but my stress is the next 8 days of my vacation... STILL worrying about tanlines because of me AHR... 1. will a tanning bed even it out (ie strap lines from bikini) if not too bad.. 2. anyone recommend a good self tanner for evening it out?? I'm not tiny but small enough (size to wear a biniki but need to hold these C cup girls up.. I need straps... Other than being aware of the straplines and undoing the straps when possible to even out the tan.. is there any suggestions

OMG... same thing happen to me... see thread, I hate my dress.. I ordered my dress over the internet ordered it 4 months pre wedding.. MISTAKE... got it, hated it...I ended up selling my dress within a week of getting it ( 3 month till wedding), only lost $160 (thank-goodness) and found the PERFECT dress ( 2 months till wedding) just before christmas... had the finally dress fitting on Friday... and good to go... YOU WILL FIND A DRESS.. my search was a long one... I tried on LOTS.. but it will come... seamstress took my dress from a size 10 down to smaller than an 8. size don't matter the seamstress does...

Am I excited?? I am sick to the stomach.. lol I am just waiting for the moment we get in the car and drive to the airport.. once I'm in that car.. I can relax... I got a picture of what the pier looked like in November.... AHHHHHHHHH... Horrible... another EDSS bride sent it to me... Honestly.. it is REALLY bad.. looked like a bunch of telephone poles sticking out of the water at different heights leaning every which way... So unless they actually DO.. get the pier fixed... no wedding happening there... Apparently that's what happened to the girl who sent the pic... had to change the wedding location last minute because the condition of the pier... I'll see if I can post it...
