  1. Hello All Riviera Maya Brides! I am getting married next week July 18 at the Secrets Maroma Beach Resort. I wanted to see if anyone that has an upcoming wedding near Maroma Beach, Playa del Carmen, or Cancun would be interested in purchasing some my centerpieces for their tables. I have 9 of them. The are really expensive when you rent them from the resort (well at my resort they were like $100 a piece for something so small), so I decided to buy my own and ship them. The are big round glass vases where you can fill up with sand, put a pillar candle in the middle, and decorate with shells inside. Or you can use them to put in floating candles. I know that I am staying at the Secrets Resort, but I am willing to drop them off at a near by resort to your wedding coordinator. I have attached a picture of the vase. You can take your own color of candle and ribbon of course, the colors on the pic are not my colors. Mine are fuschia and orange. I also have 12 pretty white lanterns in which you can put candles in, and 4 table top tiki torches. All these accessories would be perfect for your welcome party or reception. I'm going to Jamaica after my wedding, so it would be better to sell them to a bride that needs them, and would like to save some money on renting them and having to pay shipping prices. Let me know if your interested. I can promise you that are really beautiful and they will light up your night! I will also have a lot of orange and fushia tulle for your chairs! Thanks! 2. Hello All Riviera Maya Brides! I am getting married next week at the Secrets Maroma Beach Resort, which is some how affiliated to Dreams hotels. I wanted to see if anyone who has an upcoming wedding would be interested in purchasing some centerpieces for their tables. The are really expensive when you buy them from the resort (like $100 a piece for something so small), so I decided to buy my own and ship them. I know that I am staying at the Secrets Resort, but I am willing to drop them off at the Dreams resort to your wedding coordinator. I'm going to Jamaica afterwards, so it would be better to sell them to a bride that needs them and would like to save some money on shipping or purcahsing them. I have 9 of them total, and I also have 12 pretty white lanterns in which you put tea light candles inside and have glass around them to block the wind, and 4 table top tiki torches. I will also have all these shells such as mixed batches and starfish and sandollars for decoration. Let me know if you're interested and I can send you pictures....I can promise you that are really beautiful. My colors are orange and fushia and will have plenty of tulle if anyone wants that as well. Thanks! Marty [email protected]
  3. Hello Brides!!! I am getting married at SMB on the 18th this month and I am very excited! I am looking for someone who would be interested in wanting to buy my centerpieces, and other things I am taking to the hotel. I am going to Jamaica right after Mexico for my honeymoon and I am trying to pass on my things to another future Secrets bride. Let me know if anyone is interested in seeing the pictures. The centerpieces are a big glass bowl where you can put sand, shells, and a pillar candle inside. Or you can use them to put floating candles. They are really pretty! Centerpieces at the resort were $100, which I thought was way too steep. I am taking 9 of them, 12 mini white lanters, and 4 table tiki torches. Let me know....my email is [email protected] If there are other brides getting married at other secrets resorts in the area, I'm sure you can make good use of these too. Thanks!

  6. Simistar, thanks for the PM! Sorry I didn't get back to you. Real good to know. I'm still digging for a photographer that is reasonable. I will be using J Navvaro first since it comes in the package but want someone to come take over when he is done. Then I want to find someone to do the TTD session, preferably outside the resort so I don't have to pay the vendor fees and go somewhere better looking. Where did you do yours? It's prob in the review.... I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks for such a great review. Really helpful. I've already contacted DJ Mannia. They are cheaper than the resort prices. Talk to you later, I'll def contact you if I have any questions:) Marty
  7. Hey Ladies, I've been looking at CWP site and at all the different packages they have. Do you know any of the prices? For the 1 hour TTD? How about the Big Romance Collection? I'm getting married at Secrets Maroma Beach and the package we are getting comes with a photographer but I'm not sure for how long he is actaully there taking pictures of me. I need to contact the WC Cecilia to find this question out. Maybe I can use the photogrpaher that comes with the package for my TTD session but not sure if he would be as good as others. Then I can hire an outside vendor to come on my actual wedding day. Any thoughts? Ideas? Marty
  8. Hello NewYork6156, What day in July are you getting married? I'll be there from the 16-21, the wedding is on the 19th. We should def stay in touch! I will check out the photographer you got. Do you know the prices? Are you doing a TTD shootout? Marty
  9. Hey Nicole! Congrats! Very excited you are also getting married at SMB. About the photographer that the resort offers...his name is Juan Navarro. You can google him up and see some of his work on his website. The only thing that I have heard is that apparently he isn't the one that always come for the weddings. He has a team of people. I have read good and bad reviews on him and his team so I'm not sure what to tell you. I am purchasing the Ultimate Wedding Package and that includes the photographer, 50 pictures so I will most likely use him. I am going to request that he is my photogrpaher, not one of his team members but I think it depends whether or not he is already booked for the date. I also do want to do a TTD shootout but prob wont be until the following day and I need to find a photographer for that. So I am currently working on arranging the photographer...I'll let you know how it's going and please keep me posted as well. How is everything going with Cecilia? Marty
  10. Hey Ladies, I'll be getting married on 7.18.09 at the Secrets Maroma Beach Resort in the Riviera Maya! Super excited! Couple of more months and I don't have my dress yet but having been looking around and I still need to work with the WC. Good thing is that I have 33 people booked! Yea! Anyone else getting married there in July?
  11. I'm soo sorry your stressing! It's pretty expensive to stay there (i'm getting married there on 7.18.09 and for just 5 night it's $1,129, no airfare) but we do get better rates through our travel agent. Also, you're coming from a distance...flight has to be more expensive compared from DC or TX. I don't know if this helps but on Orbitz.com they have SMB packages (air & hotel) that are very cheap at the moment, I think they are having a sale. It is saving people about $200 for both airfare & hotel and I contacted my TA and told them that my guests were hesitating booking through them since there are better deals online...my TA was willing to match the competitors price so that helped motivate alot of my guests to book. You might want to check on that... I got over 20 that booked in that week when I told them the good news because it is a deal you couldn't beat. It was coming out to like $1,290 pp from Maryland/DC to CUN through Oribitz. I was very happy our TA matched the competitors price. How much are your TA quoting you? Good luck! Marty
  12. Hey, welcome! I see you're getting married at SMB. Me too! July 19, 2009. This is a great site to find things out. Take Care, Marty
  13. I used ewedding and I liked it better than the Knot. I don't like that scroll bar on the knot sites. Good luck to everyone!
