  1. Hi everyone, I keep seeing pictures of the floating candles with flowers inside them and I love it. Do people make them? Or buy them like that? If you make them where do you buy them at?
  2. Hey girls, I saw the other post of dress shops in L.A, but we all know L.A. is huge and those places are really far from me. I live in West Hollywood and I went to Davids Bridal already (cheap but didn't find anything) and every other store around here seems to be crazy expensive! Like over $5000! I just want a mid ranged store somewhat near me. Any suggestions? Thanks! Hayley

  4. I guess I was confusing in my question...I meant is it being cheap to have a welcome dinner and really the guests are paying for it because the dinner is included in the price they pay for the hotel. So I really wouldnt be paying for the dinner, that's what I meant! Sorry for the confusion!
  5. I only have a couple of dates that work for my wedding and all those Saturdays are booked. They can do it on some of those Fridays though, but I feel like it would throw the whole weekend off. Like asking people to take off that much work, and I guess we wouldnt be able to have a welcome dinner. What do you guys think? There is one Sat. that is REALLY inconvenient for us, but it's available. If Friday weddings don't sound appealing, I guess I will just take the Sat. one...

  7. I really want my wedding to stand out and be very unique. Does anyone have any good ideas? I know we will have the fire dancers which will be unique, but maybe something with the centerpieces or table name tages?? Or anything cute!

  9. Because Im on a budget, I dont think I can afford to have the welcome dinner, the rehearsal dinner, and the reception all because we have over 100 people. So if we told everyone to meet at a certain restaurant in Dreams and then maybe just had a bonfire and smores on the beach, do you think that's cheaping out?
  10. I emailed Yesica and filled out that request form, not only did it take 3 days to get an email, but she just sent me a copy of my request form back not ever saying if the date was available! Im freaking out! How long does it take to confirm a date? Did she do the same thing to you guys?
  11. Ok, so this forum has helped me sooooooo much, I have already picked most of my vendors out. I heard great things about the Dreams team, although I am not hearing back from Yesica, so I am debating if I really need a WC. I feel like all they would help you with I have already done on my own. Some people seem to hire one just for the day of, but again I know Yesica will be there. If I already have my vendors, what would be the pro's of hiring a WC. If there are not many, I would rather save the $1500 and spend it on more flowers!
  12. So after you figure out when sunset actually is, how long before sunset is ideal to have your wedding? If its at 6:30, would a 5:00 or 5:30 wedding be OK I guess the point is to have sunlight when you are getting married but be able to take sunset pics afterward right?

  15. Hi, Im just starting to plan my wedding and Im interested in the Dreams hotel. I've heard that they have a great staff, but Im still reluctant to use the hair/makeup and the photographer. Does anyone have any referrals for outside vendors for those two? What about a wedding coordinator? Thanks!

  17. Hello everyone, Im really excited about this website because I have so many questions that I can't find online! I am planning on having my wedding at the end of July or June (haven't set a date yet) in Cabo San Lucas. After researching many hotels, I think I have finally decided on Dreams. It just seems perfect. I was also thinking of the ME or the Marquis, but since Dreams is all inclusive I think it would be the best for the guests. Here are a few questions I have: 1) If anyone has done a wedding at Dreams, how much on average do you think I would/should spend? I have no idea! 2) I heard Dreams has a great wedding planner, should I still get one outside the hotel? 3) Does anyone have recommendations of hair/makeup/photography in Los Cabos area?
