Shannon, I had originally gone with the Classic package but now I want to change to the Luxury package- do you think they will let me change to the bigger package? Ok, now I'm confused... So, if I upgrade my package from the Classic Wedding to the Luxury wedding, will there still be a reception pp rate even though we have less than 35 guests?

Everything was phenomenal. Our choice to marry in PDC and at the Royal was the best decision. I will get my professional pics this week. But, I'll try to post a full review ASAP. xoxo, Veronica Congrats Veronica! Yay!!!

On a positive note, we got a preview of our engagement pictures today. We are bringing our photographer with us to Mexico so he is going to document the rehearsal dinner, which is at Blue Parrot, the wedding, the trash the dress session the next day as well as photos at the pool and throughout town. He is so great, really captures the moments vs. just posing for pictures. Check it out if you get the chance. View My Blog Wow, Steph, you guys looked gorgeous! I love how the photos looked so natural and not posed.

The Royal's wedding package seems to be more than some of the other hotels, but we love it and want to go there. But if everyone planned on coming (even half the people) then it might have gotten too much for our budget. Anyways... hardly anyone has been to the website and replied! grrrrrrrr! I'm taking that to mean that they probably aren't coming, so FI and I have decided that we will just go ahead with the Royal. So that is good! I love the whole set up there! We are tentatively confirmed for December 2, 2009. Now I guess I just have to put down the $300 deposit. I can't wait to hear all of your reports when you get back since there are quite a few of you ahead of me! Thanks for the vent! Same thing happened to me. We sent out our STDs way back in November. Very few people bothered to check out our website. Now that they're looking at booking tickets, I'm getting a bunch of calls and emails asking for info I've already provided for them... Makes me want to

I contacted Ivan and it is cheaper to book through him but according to the email he sent me the light-up dance floor is an extrea $450. I wonder if this is why The Royal is charging more

Fine, but on another thread it says that Doremixx charges $550 for 5 hours. So add on $100 for an outside vendor and that's still a HUGE difference. Can I book on my own with Doremixx? Why the disparity?? I'd like an answer to this as well. My WC - Paty - booked a DJ for me but didn't tell me who, just that it was $1000. I just asked who the DJ was and she informed me it was Doremixx. The disparity doesn't make sense. ETA: Has anyone else booked Doremixx? Curious how they compare (service wise) to Mannia.

Hey Oscar Ernie! Thanks for the welcome. I've caught up to page 17 so far. It seems I went through a different process than the rest of you. I booked our date and package through Villa World, the Royal's management company and they DID require a $300 deposit to hold the date and wedding package we selected. Should I be concerned? Also, does anyone know if you can change your package after you committed? For those brides (with guests) flying out of Toronto, do you know if there are Sunday departures available in May? I have been getting quotes for Saturday departures only but since our wedding date is on a Friday, I would prefer the guests to not leave until Sunday. Thanks in advance!

Thanks! Kelly Hi Kelly, fyi, I spoke with someone from Real Resorts today and was told I could only have the beach wedding the day I requested because the Gazebo was already booked. So, they book at least two per day.
