  1. I have a 10% online discount code for Scrapbook.com: Supplies and Scrapbooking Ideas. They have so many great items to choose from! Discount Code: newyear2009 It says it expires in 14 days but I don't know if that's from the day they shipped it to me (January 2 or if they gave me a few extra days while it shipped. To be on the safe side I'd try to use the code before Wednesday, February 11.
  2. By my count I think we actually still have 150 left over. I didn't say at the beginning but I only need 25 (although I might get more than that). Gail is in for 50 and Adrienne is in for 25. Am I forgetting anyone? I will be going over to my friend's house tomorrow (Sunday) and I am going to play with some different ideas and designs because I'm hoping to carry the monogram throughout my less formal wedding items.

  4. here is the link to the actual website with the cups Custom Color Changing Mood Stadium Cups
  5. I am also thinking about buying 50 monogrammed soft coolers but would only need probably 22 or 23. I am ALSO thinking of travel mugs (like justustwo) to monogram instead of the cups. If interested I'd love to share with others!
  6. I don't know why it won't let me edit my post but I read through all of the posts. Instead of a USB stick we're going to create a wedding photo account through shutterfly or some other website. Then we'll give everyone the log-in and password so that everyone can see everyone else's pictures. I got this idea from Simistar
  7. That would be hysterical...probably a bit hit! It makes me think of the scene in Austin Powers Gold Member when they're in Austin Powers' Dad's room and he says, "say it in english english". lol Quote: Originally Posted by kelleylove have any of you done your own fun translation guides? 8. LOL, i was actually going to try that because it's clear! Thanks for the tip. Quote: Originally Posted by heather007 Courtney is so nice!!!! 9. Hi Ladies I am now deciding on what things I'd like in my OOT bags and I'm almost ready to pull the trigger on a few items. I bookmarked these two threads http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t26420-7 and http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t27620 as great ideas. I am getting married in the Mayan Riviera and I would love to split an order with someone...the typical cost from the Vendo Direct is about $237 for 250 cups. It is the least expensive website for the cups, the minimum is 250 instead of 500, and if we have a logo already designed we don't have to pay the $40 set up fee (supposedly). I attached an idea of what I'd like on the cups, they will be really generic for the whole Riviera Maya area. Here is the sun that I'd like to use and maybe have a cool font with "Riviera Maya 2009" underneath? Any other suggestions? If you're interested let me know if you prefer the frosted cups or the color ones. I haven't decided yet which ones are my favorites so I can probably be swayed pretty easily.
  10. Hey Girl! Thanks for the website, I haven't found this one yet! I've been searching like a mad woman for so many things and then I'll forget which sites I've been to... If I don't use floralytes I'm going to use little 1" cubes that also light up. I love how this looks I want really cool centerpieces but am afraid to ship a lot of glass to Mexico. Thanks again Quote: Originally Posted by Simistar Hey you! Floralytes, floralites, flora lytes, floralights, florallytes, LED lights, LED candles HTHs :-)
  11. What if you had some flier sized "post cards" created for your Save the Date? If the Size 10 envelopes are the ones that I'm thinking of a normal post card would be too high. 12. I am looking to purchase some white and/or pink floralytes because I can't find anywhere I can just purchase one to play with. Does anyone on here some used ones I can buy? Thanks!
  13. Everyone's invites are so amazing! I have problems comprehending how creative some of you are! Karla, i've never seen your invites before, but WOW. Amyh: after seeing yours when they were finished it's hard for me to believe that your ideas had to come from somewhere. I just imagined that you knew how to make yours all along; you made yours seem so effortless. I am having major indecision issues with my invites. I like about 5 different ideas, 3 different flowers, but cannot decide on anything! I think about having a belly band on my invite, or maybe ribbon, or maybe a monogram closure, etc. I either need to take a class on how to make decisions or stop looking at ideas!

  15. I know these are all old posts but they are new to me I love KellyMN's stuff....I'm now stalking her (nicely) on BDW to find all of the stuff that she did. I sure wish I had this kind of talent!
  16. Did anyone on here ever pick up a template for the welcome letter?

  18. I am totally speechless. I have been looking at invites for the last two or three months and could not find any that made me "whoa, i need those ones!", well, i found them! Amazing job! What does the quote in Spanish mean?
  19. I have beaded in the past but never anything like this. Did you use a specific pattern to begin these? I would love to make something like this for myself. Also, how do you measure the correct length of wire? Is Tiger Tail OK to use?
  20. Do you just use Glue Dots when you make the pockets? Quote: Originally Posted by beebumble27 Thanks everyone!! This has been extremely helpful. Abiie I did go to that site and Ayita I am making pockets for another project!!!

For the photographer I wanted I also wanted his assistant because there are certain shots and certain times that I know I need two people there shooting. BUT the cost to have both there PLUS airfare, and the cost of package was way out of my price range. So i negotiated with him (he's NEVER done a destination wedding before so I had some wiggle room) to trade. I would pay airfare, room, all inclusive rate, and ground transportation for both for 4 nights (him actually for 5 nights because I want extra stuff) but then i get everything I want package wise. It just so happens that's he's really easy going and we've had to go back and forth on some stuff but so far so good. Just let your photog know that you think he/she is worth every penny that they're charging but that you can't really afford it, would they be willing to make a trade with you? They may say no, but that's the worst that can be said. Mine said he wanted NO out of pocket expenses plus he's building his portfolio AND getting vacation out of it. BUT this is NOT his full time job, it's definitely different for photogs who shoot full time.
  22. I say go for it! For the people you are sending the You Tube link to you could order the free post cards from Vistaprint, slap on a cool picture, and mail them out with the link. That way you don't have to worry about getting envelopes too.
  23. They are amazing! I bet you feel so good now! Did you use vellum paper, is that why it's shiny or did you use a sparkle paper? If so, did you use a laser printer or an inkjet printer?
  24. Well, since no one else has responded I'll tell you what little I know. First off, how new is your digital camera? The newer it is the higher res of photos it can take BUT old digital cameras, if they are set at the highest end will take great pictures too. So basically the higher resolution a file is the larger you can get it printed and have it look nice. It depends on how big the pictures are that you want to print that should determine if you sign up for the high res kodak gallery thing. For instance, I bought a digital SLR camera years ago that was like 6.4 megapixels (back in the day when that was A LOT). If it's set on the highest resolution setting it can take pictures that could be blown up so big it could go on a wall canvas. If you have your camera setting say, on a 2-3 megapixel picture the biggest you might be able to go could be like an 8.5 x 11. I'm not entirely sure of the numbers but I just used them to illustrate my point. I'm sorry I can't be of more help
  25. I think that one big book for everyone is a great idea! Mini books are very generous and special but I think that guests could make their own mini books, or bigger if they wanted to. It's a great idea for the mini books but sometimes books get put on shelves and not looked again very often. If you wanted to chronicle pictures for them somehow you could do a little collage and frame it.
