  1. Hey there. Someone just asked this earlier today. Here is that post: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t37343 Not many responses yet... I suggest you look around and see what you like. I am also making my own bouquet and think it will be fairly easy. I think the hardest part is picking out the flowers you want. I know I spent weeks even months debating about that.
  2. Try searching. There are TONS of posts about local photographers... A couple names are Vanessa Vargas Claudia Rodriguez del Sol Martha Roque Lidya Solemidt Cecilia Dumas (sp?) Michael ---- cant remember
  3. I didn't see this posted yet, but there are some ADORABLE linen suits at Childrens place!!! There are also linen shirts in a couple cute colors. I remember orange, blue and green. Perfect for a ring bearer! Check it out!
  4. Small confession: I have spent nearly $300 at MAC in the past 3 days and I really want to go get a limited edition brush that is sold out online and in many stores, so I have to call first... It's so hard to not leave work and just go. My boss is out this week, so no one will know . And I also got my friend hooked on MAC... woops.
  5. I can see them trying to be picky bc they want to make money. We are going to do something similar for our rehearsal dinner, but at the World Cafe.
  6. Quote from the email regarding the restaurants, still cant find those numbers. "I also would like to inform you that for any of the restaurants more than 8 people will be considered as a group. For bigger groups the dinner should be at our Banquet room or beach."
  7. AlliMay- I thought you couldn't make reservations to the restaurants for groups larger than 8. I think I read it in the guide and Jacy made some comment about it, bc I wanted to do my dinner in a restaurant. RoryS- I think you asked about the tables? I know I asked Jacy about it and I thought she gave me measurements, but I couldn't find it. All she said was that they are round. I need to look again, bc I swear she gave me some numbers that I couldn't decipher.

Sarah Basically, I think they just have to be a guest at the hotel, whether they are local or from somewhere else. I would ask Jacy tho, I think girls have heard different things. Its always better to have some documentation for it.

Have you heard of this also? She also mention that with the honeymoon suite, you get the preferred club benefits. ( I've just emailed for confirmation ) None the less, I booked!!!! I finally got something done I mean, all the rooms are the same size. I asked Gaby, the concierge and she told me that none of the Preferred club rooms have jacuzzis, which is conflicting to a review that I read that said that some of the Preferred club rooms do have jacuzzis, not sure which is true. You do get the Preferred Club benefits with the honeymoon room, but besides having an upgraded mini bar (which I read just means having mini liquor bottles in there) and the bath amenities, you can go up to the lounge on the 7th floor. I just want to already be up on the 7th floor so I dont have to go out of my way to get to it... My reasoning I suppose. At the moment we do have the Honeymoon Ocean View room booked, but I just requested that it be changed to a Preferred Club Ocean View. Dont tell FI, he really wants that jacuzzi...

Thanks! Here are some older photos: SPA Wedding Information pictures from friends & fun photos on webshots Mr. Guzman is sending me photos from a wedding on Saturday. I will of course post them as soon as I get them.
  11. I think I read that they only do 2 weddings a day in the wedding guide. What are you guys paying for the rehersal dinner? I can't decide if we want to do it on the resort or offsite.
  12. I'm pretty sure that is with all Dreams Resorts. There can be more than one wedding on any given day, but there won't be two weddings starting at 4pm. I don't know how they work out receptions tho
  13. Yeah, unless they have a different definition of it. It states: "Wedding organization and personalization of our wedding coordinator" Its the second bullet on the list.
  14. Is your niece not using a package? Thats exciting about Coco Bongo... A couple of my friends will love that
  15. That looks great! I spray painted mine last night and I am just waiting for my last rhinestones to come in.
  16. Do you have a photographer or do you get a dressing assistant at your resort? Someone on here... Can't remember who eloped and their photographer helped zip up the bride. There was supposed to be someone to help her but they never showed up.
  17. I just heard that Chris Brown and Rihanna actually broke up 2 weeks ago and their PR people made them go together for publicity. The argument they were in was about Chris wanting to hook up/ meet/ talk /whatever to someone else. This came from Big Tigger who used to host 106 and Park
  18. So I was thinking that we would just do something like a BBQ at my parents house for my AHR, but now my parents are talking about doing it at a restaurant or getting catering or something! They would be paying, but I want to look for the most affordable option. I would like to keep it under $50 a person. They were considering Maggiano's in Tysons, but their menu starts at $65, so anything less than that is good. Did anyone consider anything before a DW? This will be small. Minimum 20 people, but be more though.
  19. I heard back from Mr Guzman, the GM and he confirmed my date and time and that I am the ONLY wedding so far on my day. So YAY FOR GOOD NEWS! I have no idea where my fear of a mix up came from, but now I will continue to plan away and enjoy my last 3 months before the wedding!
  20. I think Heather posted this before? Its somewhere. The price is good, but these bags are thinner than the cheaptotes ones. The ingreeting ones are 4oz canvas compared to cheaptotes 6oz canvas bags. They are also smaller, but that could make it look like you have a lot more stuff in it
  21. I love post secrets too! I try to remember to check it every week
  22. I got them from here Tote Bags, Totes, Bags, promotional products, imprinted products They have a minumum order of 25, but I ordered 3 different colors and I'm not sure that is allowed. My order might get canceled.
