Ashely....oh have I been there before! Isnt it crazy how planning a wedding can take you through so many emotions! Sounds like things are working themselves out, just like everyone says they are. Not easy to just go on that sometimes though! LOL Vikki, I love those! Do you mind posting the etsy sellers name? I may just have them shipped to the house we are renting down in Florida. So Im trying to find a salon to get my hair done at, and cant find any reviews. I guess Ill just go on my gut feeling. I need to get a pedicure badly...and trying to figure out when. Do you think it would be okay before? Or maybe I should do that when we get there?

We ordered them on the 4th....not sure on the delivery date. Although its priority so it should be here in 3 days max.

Looks like ours shipped today to. We ordered on October 4th. I think they will probably arrive the day we are leaving!

Amanda, you completely right. See thats why I love having you girls. Is your name Amanda, I just assumed? LOL I found my shoes!!!!! I went to another DSW today and said to the salesgirl, Im not leaving without my wedding shoes. I told her my story and described my dress and she went to town. I LOVE them. They are heels, not wedges though. I think Ill be okay because the only part in the sand is the reception tables. The isle to the ceremony location is brick, and the ceremony spot is wood which is where the dancing will be to. Ill survive in other words. LOL

What are you guys doing with your hair? Im trying to get some ideas. Im not wearing a veil so was thinking of some flower or something in it.... Im hoping that my koozies get here in time. I emailed him 3 times to get a response to, and he said they were shipping priority on Monday and I would get a tracking number from paypal. So if I dont have them today or tomorrow than I will be blowing up his email.

Im going to hit up one last DSW, and a mall I havent tonight. After that Im not sure what is left...maybe find something when we get there? We are roadtripping to Florida so Im sure we may run across an outlet mall or something.

Ashely, I can completely relate. Im worried that we will run out of money to make the trip home. I barely have the extra cash to get all the primping done. Its so stressful. And now Im stressing about how the reception will look. Its on this property, and Im sure the beauty around will be enough....but I keep stressing about what if we need more lighting. Maybe I should of added some paper laterns or flower pom pom things. By the way, love the pimp shoes

So I need to find shoes asap. I leave in 7 days..so if Im ordering online I should have ordered them like yesterday. Ive been searching for over a week now and just cant find anything Ive searched ebay, zappos, and davids bridal. Im wearing a ivory tea length dress, with more than likely a light pink crinoline. I was hoping to find wedges, but realizing thats a lost cause. But I was looking at ivory, white, or silver shoes, would even do a pink one. If I go with a heel Id like to do a peep toe. I have wide feet so the strappy shoes arent that cute on me. I would like to stay under $50. Would love some help

Well we burned it for a good 10 minutes and the heat didnt even reach the top of the pail. Its also galvanized, so we figured that its okay. I looked into the huricanes yesterday to. The problem with getting a hurricane is that there is not base, and than the candle will melt into the bottom of the pail, which is something we didnt want to do. And there isnt a candle tall enough for this length. Votive is to small, and anything larger is way to tall. These type of pails usually are filled with cintrinilla..and you burn that...so wouldnt that be similar?

Well after walking aimless for hours around the craft store, with all your ideas flowing in my head I came up with many different scenarios. And this is what we came up with. Maybe play with the sand more on the fan, and add more shells. We plan on going shelling when we get down there to add to the centerpieces.

Erika, your so right! Its sort of my own fault. I had them overnight it so it should be here by Wednesday. It may need to be shortened though... Erika, did you use barry promos? I was so frustrated with him! And he finally emailed me back on Friday and said they were shipping today.

Lovely. The dress doesnt fit. To late to do an exchange, so had to order a size bigger, pay overnight shipping, and return the this one. UGH. UGH. UGH!

I think that is where I thought it needed to be higher. When I dig it down deeper into the sand it gets lost. So if your sitting at the table all you see is this tin pail.... I know where its at is to high...to bad those pails were glass.

Congrats on 2nd, that is awesome! How did you girls do over the weekend? My eating wasnt so great, but not horrible, and I did work out all 3 days. Heres a simple challenge for Monday. Leave a little bit on your plate at each meal. We are always trying to clean our whole plate when sometimes our portion sizes may be to big. Although if you are making your own meals, maybe this defeats the whole purpose.

So as I just looked at someone who DIY'd their centerpeices for just $2.50, great centerpiece by the way, I had an idea! How about I get some raffia and tie it around the pail? It would be really cute with a starfish dangling to, but Ive looked everywhere for starfish and cant find them. To late to order anything now since I leave in a week.

SCORE! So I think FI fell upon the dress last night He says he almost did, but closed the window when he realized what he was about to look at. I believe him, but part of me thinks hes trying to not upset me. Although hes been real adamant about not seeing it, so maybe he didnt. OMG, I LEAVE IN 8 DAYS!!!!!!!! How was your progress this weekend ladies? We got FI attire, guest book, centerpieces (that Im still trying to figure out), and the ceremony done. WOOT! WOOT!

Thanks for the ideas girls. I was trying to do some ribbon around the tin but its hard because of the shape of the pail.....any suggestions on that? We were planning on finding some shells when we got down there...but used these ones as an example....

Thanks everyone I think we are getting down to the bottom of the to do list! Im said that cant be right. Almost to good to be true! So the dress situation...you girls are going to think Im crazy but I ordered a backup. I was talking to a friend about everything, and she said...Melis...I dont think its really the dress. I think its just not you. That one comment gave me an Ah-ha moment I guess. I think I keep trying to fit into this bridal persona that isnt really me. Maybe thats why Ive never really felt like, wow this is the dress that makes me feel like a bride. I have been caught between what Melissa wants, and how weddings are suppose to be. How is that when Im doing a destination wedding in the first place?! So after a very long day of sorting through my thoughts, I thought...what do you love? I love retro/vintage. I wanted to do more that kind of style dress in the beginning, but had a hard time finding anything. So after going back to a website thats in my favorites, I ended up ordering a tea length halter dress, a marilyn monroe style dress. It will be here on Monday, so I should be able to make a concrete decision on which dress I prefer than. I ordered this dress.... I went with a light pink crinoline though vs the white...not sure on that one, but I wanted a little some extra to it. I figure if I dont like it I can find a crinoline locally. So Ive been on the hunt for shoes. I want wedges since Ill be in the sand, but now my shoes will really be seen.......wedges are hard to find! I wasnt sure if I wanted cork or not.....but what do you think about these?

and can use some opinions and help. We have these small tin pails that we wanted to use. So we thought a candle in the middle with some sand in it, and some shells. When starting to put it together Im just not feeling it...
