Also, does anyone know how flexible they are with the set menu? We have a couple of vegetarians coming and some people who will only eat fish (no other meat) and then some who love their meat. I really really don't want to have to decide for all of them!! We had three vegetarians in our group and we just told her in our meeting and she took their names and brought them a separate meal. No charge, no worries! )

It's so beautiful there but without the touristy feel and big party crowds. It's like a little oasis of beauty and I can't wait to go back next year for the wedding!! Your pics make me wish the big day would come sooner =) I ran in and grabbed in from David's bridal the day before we left! ) LOL. It was a set of two and I just wore the one...How fun. The time will fly and before you know it your day will be here!

I brought that flower and ordered one from the resort but theirs just weren't right so I had to go with the flower I brought. You will love the area. We wouldn't change a thing!
  4. OK! Here are some pics...still working on a slideshow with all of them.
  5. Thanks! We used Citalli with Claudia Rodriquez Photography - Claudia Rodriguez, Photographer, Cancun & Riviera Maya. She was wonderful! Would recommend the place and the photographer to anyone! We want to go back already!
  6. So we got our pictures and I LOVE them (Citalli with Claudia Rodriguez took them). I'm trying to upload them but Kodak Easyshare seems to shrink them. Does anyone have a good site they recommend that maybe lets you do a cool slideshow? Thanks! I'll be posting them soon!
  7. OMG. My computer was having issues all week, but we got our pictures, and I just have to say that Citalli with Claudia Rodriguez Photography was amazing. I am so excited and can't stop going through them! Working on uploading them now. Does anyone know a good site that doesn't shrink them so much?

BTW I love this forum although everytime i go on here i have a new DIY project that keeps me up till 3 in the morning. sigh Congrats! ) Now you should relax for a week ) The one thing I would say is that I worried way too much. I would get frustrated because it would take a while to get emails back, and I didn't see how everything could go smoothly after simply communicating with them over email. The great thing is that they do this all the time and they are great at it! Once you get there and talk to them face to face it will really put you at ease...Good luck and happy planning!

I asked her if she had at least one good one that she could email me to tide me over ) Ha ha. I figured it was worth a shot!
  10. You're pictures are so beautiful. We used Citalli and should be getting ours next week! I can't wait! Congrats!!!!
  11. We used Citalli and loved her, although we haven't gotten the pictures yet ) I should be getting them this week and will post them. She was so great just to work with, though. Very professional yet relaxing and sweet.

Much prettier than in the pictures... We ate at the Tequila. It wasn't outstanding but it was fine and the wait staff was a lot of fun. We actually had the whole restaurant for our group somehow. We did not rent the disco because it was already booked, but we had a reception (after dinner) by the pool with a DJ and select drinks. They set it up very nicely and I loved the fact that we were outside. We had 30 guests total. It was absolutely perfect! Jazmin the wedding coordinator was great.

They do have a beach area on the Tulum side that you can choose as well, but it's right by the Gazebo...
  14. Congrats! We just had our wedding there in May. Loved it - highly recommended!

  16. Yes, on their list it says it is $250 or $350 with editing...and that's for only 25 minutes. If you brought your own at least you could have the whole night on there. Good luck!
  17. Yes, there is a DVD option that the resort provides, or most photographers will have that option as well with their packages (if you are using an outside photographer?).
  18. Stacy, you guys used Claudia Rodriguez, right? How long did it take you to get your pictures? I'm so antsy! It's been almost a month and I can't wait any longer! )

I can't find my old wedding package sheet, it's put away somewhere. I think that's it....As time grows near, I lay awake thinking of these things. ha! Thanks, ladies!!! Hi there...hmmm.. I'll answer the ones I know! ) I had heard that about the name, but everything we saw when we were there still had the Gran on it...not sure if that was "official" or not... If it rains you will have it in one of the restaurants (I can't remember, maybe the Tequila?). I saw a picture of one and it was actually pretty nice because it was in front of a little waterfall thing. I emailed someone who had to have it there and she said she was happy with everything. Yes, they provided towels at Xel-Ha, however they asked for deposits for a few things like snorkeling gear, etc. I don't THINK you had to put one down for towels but am not 100% positive. I didn't have extra flowers. Jazmin brought the centerpiece on the table from the wedding and used it for our table at dinner, and they also had I think small lilies in little vases on the tables. Yes, you can have someone read a poem. My husband's sister did. They were actually VERY flexible with what we asked for and had no problems working extra things into the ceremony...so I doubt they would have a problem working the sand ceremony in where you wanted it as well. As far as the dinners, it sounds like some people have had different experiences, so I don't want to tell you one thing and have something else happen. I know for sure my guests used all of their a la cartes and our wedding dinner did not count toward that, but it sounds like that may not always be the case. Hope some of this helps!
