I get the symbolism seeing as we just got engaged, but really, the floating hands are just creepy. We've been storing it on top of a bookcase in case she comes over and wants to see it. My mom thought it was great, I don't get it. But here's a photo, what do you think?? I agree that is creepy!!!! I had a totally envisioned the hands to be the nice ceramic ones...not bronzed...like they belong in a haunted house....Not sure I would keep these in the house!

My ceremony took place at Rose Hall Resort (RHR) and initially I was planning my cocktail hour and reception at the same site but the cost was getting to be too much and I had to seek out another option. I learned about Jamaica Elegant Weddings from this forum and contacted them about three months before my wedding date via an online request for information. In no time I got a response from Dawn and my stress free wedding planning began. I look at Dawn as a God-sent. The first time we spoke I explained to her my situation, desires, and budget. In her calm voice she told me it would be "no problem" that she would make my dreams come true. Now I will be honest, for my wedding I wanted it ALL but at a discount price, not a small feat but Dawn not only met the challenge, she rose above it! My wedding reception was more than I could have ever dreamed of. The location, decoration, food, cake, entertainment, EVERYTHING was on point! And although I was not there, from what people told me and the pictures I saw, the cocktail hour set up was gorgeous! Way beyond what I imagined, I'm talking about fruit carvings and everything. Now let me tell you about Dawn...she is the kindness and most professional person I have ever worked with. She's so gentle and reassuring. Tell her exactly what you want and she'll give you that and more. We met the day before my wedding and I handed her a large suitcase with all my wedding stuff; decorations, menus, guest book, escort cards, etc. I even gave her my reception dress which she later helped me get into. She was just there in whatever manner I needed her to be. I HIGHLY recommend her service, you won't be disappointed. Now for Kevan our DJ. He truly is the best in the west. I didn't have any contact with Kevan before the wedding, I simply made a playlist and e-mailed it to Dawn, she passed it on to him and he delivered beautifully! My #1 wish for my wedding was that I and my guests had a blast, for us to party and dance the night away. And that's exactly what we got! My guest told me that they had nevered had so more fun a wedding reception. DJ Kevan stuck to my playlist request and delievered exactly what I wanted. I have no complaints. Let me know if you want any photos. I don't have my professional ones yet but I'll be happy to share some of the ones my guests have sent me. Mrs. Reed who did you use for photog? We're eloping next year and I'm debating between Dawn or Alamarie for outside services. [email protected]
  3. OMG...I was thinking the same thing...I'm in the Chicago area but 2 months may not be enough time to tighten and tone up! I'm so comtemplating it!!!!
  4. Yes...I'm such a nerd I wear mine when the show comes on....heheheeee
  5. I received an engraved crystal cross from my aunt and uncle one Christmas...not that I'm not religious or spiritual but it was so random and clearly a re-gift. This thing weighed like 10 pounds. What are you suppose to do with something like that? So I gave it to my mom who has a re-gifting party with her friends every year after Christmas.
  6. Rosemary roasted chicken, Steammed Veggies (Broccoli, Cauliflower and Carrots), homemade mashed potatoes (boiled them last night) and rainbow sherbet for dessert!
  7. I'm obsessed with True Blood me and my sisters all have Merlotte's shirts....last week's episode was great...I was on pins and needles waiting two weeks before the next episode came on (4th of July)!!! Is Morena a glutton for punishment or what I wish Sookie would bang Eric and get it over with!
  8. I didn't hear the audio files but I was listening to the radio when they mentioned what was said...he needs serious prayer...unfortunately he may be able to bounce back just based on his ability to make money....I won't support foolery!
  9. OMG...what a hard positions to be in...like the others said if you haven't sent out formal invites or save the dates I would not sweat it...this is the very reason we have decided to elope...the planning was giving me such aniexty and between my mom and grandma saying who needed to be there...I had enough...Good luck on which ever way you decide to handle it!
  10. My prayers go out to you and your family during these trying times.
  11. OMG...it's called self sabotage...but it's so normal. I probably say every other day that I need to work out and by the time I'm done running around I'm too tired to do anything let alone do any needed exercise....Everyone has their own path in getting to where they need to be Besides, the most important part is being healthy! And what's a woman without curves?
  12. It is truly unfortunate that kids make quick unthought out decisions that will cost them a life time...Well let's just hope they have parents that will help raise the baby and that the young parents will get the lesson that unprotected sex can give you things you are not ready for. Sad but fortunate it wasn't a STD. I hope they learn from this...they are not the first and unfortunately they won't be the last!!!

Cuz I think having it be 30 minutes might make it fit into my schedule. Oh, i also found a website that was selling the p90x system for fairly cheap, if anyone is interested - P90X - Extreme Home Fitness - $85.99 : The-DVDs!, The Art of Saving - $85 and free shipping Thanks for the link!!! I just ordered mine...Wish me luck..I'm going to do a before and after pick!
  14. I was so nervous watching the runway collections...You'd a thought I had a collection being shown....can someone say Nerve Wrecking!!! Well I really loved Korto's collection and Leann's...but I was hoping for Korto to win..but that's fine I know we will see her line somewhere real soon if not already...Leann's look was very innovative but I felt the waves were soooooo over done..but hey everyone likes different!
  15. Yes I would agree I was shocked about who went home...Kenley's dress reminded me of the dress Bjork wore to one of the award shows in the late 90's or 2000 something....I love Leann's bridesmaid dress....I have to say Jarell's line looked a little too "Done Up" I was kinda shocked and just thought it wasn't anything I would love to see!!!! Can't wait to see the finale!
  16. Thanks you're awesome...okay so I can admit I was lazy and did not do a search I will now! and Thanks for the limewire tidbit!
  17. Okay so I've been looking at the infomercial for forever...and I have to admit I'm partially convinced that it looks like I will work....I mean 90 days is not long at all...If I start in November I'll be all ready at the end of January! So has anyone tried it and/or have any feedback? I'm going to look at the website and make up my mind soon!
  18. Thanks for posting that story FoxyBride....as long as I can still see the show I'm all good!
  19. And then there were 4!!! Suede is gone not tooo surprising although Kenley's outfit was not cute at all....the idea was fine but what was up with the back of that skirt that Leann made Korto? It was poorly made IMO.... Whatever!!!! I can't wait to see the last 3 duke it out at the end!

  22. And then there were 5....Not at all shocked about Joe's departure...not sure how he made it this far; when you compare his work to some of the other designers...That suit was not flattering at all...and WTF was Suede thinking about with the 90's Jody Watley and Madonna cuff's!!!!!!!!
  23. I agree with you Casey...Lifetime does not have the best production...I have to admit I'm a but biased...don't like the lifetime movies they annoy me!
  24. UGGGHHHH...Lifetime? Does it come in HD? I really like Bravo Tv...not a Lifetime watcher....
  25. I have to say that I was kinda shocked about Terri...Blayne not so much of a surprise...WOW!!!! It's getting interesting kids!
