So I haven't heard from the wedding coordinators and I'm getting married January 17th. I know I have plenty of time to work out the details but I feel like I'm missing something. Do I need to send them documents in order to get leagally married? If so, what do I need to send, what address and by what time. We're almost thinking that we'll skip the legal ceremony and do it when we get home. It's starting to sound complicated. But knowing us, we wouldn't be legally married for months after our ceremony. We tend to wait to the last minute to get things done! Plus, I want our ceremony to be real and offical. I don't know. If anyone knows what I need to do, I'd appreciate all the help I can get! Thanks

When are you thinking about getting married? Prices differ based on time of year. Summer is a great deal, winter is more expensive. January is going to be $301 per night for a standard room and half that for the summer. Just do a search on travelocity or whatever website and they'll give you an idea of prices. Good luck!

Hey Ladies, I was just wondering if anyone is planning a rehearsal dinner outside of the resort? If so, any suggestions on where to go, what to do? We were planning a dinner and bonfire but the bonfire idea is out now. My soon to be sister in law thinks it would be great to get people off the resort. Any one doing a sunset cruise? I guess I need some fresh ideas. Let me know! thanks for the help.

He said that Profepa is quiet for the definitive suspension that was denied, even if additional people from the hotel Dreams promoted a new trial for defense, so it seems a very good thing, because it means that in addition to the Second District Court did an analysis extremely thoughtful and realized the serious violations and the risk that is being natural resources, and that is why the judge decided to deny the suspension. Well, legally there is a judicial review which could make valid but I think that having seen the resolution of the suspension as much as we want to go to the petition for review I think it is going to remain strong this resolution, because it is obvious how that these people were incurred in the cases where the law provides for the closure, that is, damage to the environment, ecosystems, our natural resources. are obvious. We comment on some occasions we found four species of mangrove and is blocked stream hydrology of the wetland, and that is enough left over to be denied the suspension, regardless of having built three rooms and they have not respected the surface they should have stopped booking; regardless of who built on a site that did not have to having built, and that is why put the rooms of workers, "he said. He noted that as at the time denounced the way that the suspension was so irregular, now the PROFEPA has confidence that is going to do justice, the judge in this situation it has done recently to analyze in depth the closures, not only because there is talk of the Dreams, but of the six trials that are in Tulum. So is this good or bad news? On another note, I spoke with my TA today and she said that we can't change resorts now unless given permition by dreams or told to do so. If we do, we'll be penalized by the resort and our prices will not be protected. With that said, I'm at the mercy of the resort! Sucks!

January 2009 Brides Post Here

Hey ladies, I feel like I got a lot accomplished. I was freaking out because of the Dreams Tulum Closure issue and felt like I needed to get things done that I had control over. I went to target and bought $1 sunscreen, chap stick with sunscreen, pepto, tums and bandaids for our beach bags. I have our welcome letter started, just have to fill in the blanks here and there. Our invites should go out by the end of next week! Now my next big project is getting our rings ordered and finding the groomsmen something to wear but that should be easy. Of course, there are probably a million other things I should be doing but don't know yet. -
This sucks. My wedding is not until January but I'm starting to get calls from wedding guests to 'warn me that the resort is having issues and what are we going to do. I was hoping to avoid these conversations. I finally had to break the news to my mother because of these calls. her response was, 'you can always get married in Chicago.' Comments like that don't help. My soon to be MIL was actually quite calm about the whole thing and has complete faith that it will all work out for the best. I need more people to keep telling me that because I'm starting to stress. I just want to cont to plan my wedding and this is putting the breaks on. my mom even said we should hold off sending out our offical invites. thats when I snapped and said we're going to cont with things as planned and deal with it later if it becomes an issue! Sorry guys, just had to vent!!!! Thanks:)

I think you need to really talk with your FI and give him time to really think about it. My FI got a dog together and then recently adopted my parents dog when they were no longer able to care for her. He was not excited AT ALL about taking on a second dog. But he got over it and loves her now. Just stress how important it is to you and he should understand. If he doesn't, stick to your guns and don't let him control you. If you let him now, think of how the rest of your life will be!

Hey Ladies, Its a big day, weigh in day. Good luck to everyone. Hopefully we'll all be motivated for another week. I'm in my friends wedding this weekend in Kansas. Hopefully I won't drink too much or eat too much. I hate being out of town and having to depend on eating out, not always easy to make the right decisions. At least it should be fun!

So far our budget is.... Band: $2900 Photographer: $4200 for 3days Dress:$1500 with alterations Travel:$5600 for two weeks in January! Grooms Attire:$350 Rings:$1800 Invites:$550 for 150 Save the datesIY $250 Everything else is still tbd but the ceremony and reception are sooooo cheap in comparison to U.S wedding that all the other stuff seems to be worth it. Plus, it depends on how many people come. Without travel our estimated budget with 75 people comes out to around $20,000ish with plenty of places to cut costs if needed.

You have to do whats right for you. Don't worry about your guests right now. They obviously love you two if they are making the trip, they will understand. I hope things work out! I think if you want to tell your parents so you can get their support than do it! I'm so sorry you've been put in this situation! We're all here for you!

I really did well today. I ate well and I even got my FI to go for a run/walk with me. I'm so proud of him. He needs to loose a lot more weight than me and I think he finds it very discouraging. But he stuck it out, got a little pissy at the end but I was just happy he did it. One step closer to better health!

I'm so excited to start this again. I need to get out of this summer eating/drinking craze. I need to get my butt back in the gym. I was so good before. I'm trying to get my FI to run with me at least once a week, maybe even get him to join a gym. I think if he tried to get in shape I'd be more inspired as well.
