  1. I've been wondering the same thing, so I appreciate this post! I'd like to move past "Noob", so better start posting!!! There's just so much to read all the time I never get to respond quick enough Thanks for info, Laura

Keep my updated on any info you get too, I am just starting to get the ball rolling with planning everything! Congrats! Laura
  3. Welcome!!! I am Dec. 7th, 2008 at Dreams Tulum!
  4. SIMBASIM~ I love your OOT bags! You did an amazing job! If you don't mind me asking, where did you buy the bags from? Also, I meant to ask this questions throughout the post, but how do you (everyone) plan on getting the bags to your destination. I've just heard alot about the trouble of getting things through the airport in Mexico & am curious if your mailing them out beforehand or taking them with you when you fly out?? Thanks for all the info! Again, great job on your bags! Laura
  5. Your boarding passes look great! You really did a great job! These are what I am looking to get started on next since we just finally got a date set at Dreams Tulum. I am not sure if I don't have enough points or what but I can't open the template you attached on there?? Would you be able to send it to my personal email at [email protected]? Also, any pointers you have on making these would be great! Thanks ahead of time! Laura
  6. Callie- Thanks for the info! Thats actually the exact thing that secured my decision with DT instead of PV. The water & sand is beautiful, so now I just can't wait to get there! Now, I am just figuring out our reception & getting info on the new conv. center vs. trying to reserve the Grill or El Patio! Any other insight you have about DT or organizing the wedding there would be much appreciated. We just secured our date, so now its time to begin looking at every other detail now! Thanks again, laura
  7. Hello Ladies, So I have a date in Dec. on "hold" until we figure out a few things...a big concern of mine now is that the receptions have to be held in the convention center/ballrooms (if over 20 ppl). It looks to be that were going to have @ 65 ppl attending, which is more than we anticipated, but of course are happy everyone wants to be there. So I was wondering if anyone has any more info on the convention center; meaning what it looks like, what the rooms are like, etc. I am just worried bc if I wanted 4 walls of a conv. center then I would stay here in Denver & have our wedding...the point of doing a DW is to enjoy the scenery & outdoors, so I am wondering if i have an unfair vision of what this "conv. center" is going to be like for recepetions help there? Any info you ladies may have is much appreciated. Also, a quick change of pace...my TA quickly recommended that before I 100% decide on Dreams Tulum for our wedding to check out Puerto Vallarta too. Anyone have any opinions on comparisons of Dreams Tulum and say...Vallarta Palace, Azul View, Mayan Palace..... You ladies are the best, thanks ahead of time! Laura
  8. Hey Becks, Those are amazing! I am not sure if you posted this somewhere else, but if you don't mind I'd love to borrow that idea. Is there a place where you ordered those or had them made? I'd love any details, as that's exactly what I've been looking for! you did a superb job! Thanks, Laura
  9. Hey Monica, Would you mind sending me your price sheet as well? I am looking to keep it at 10K or less as well (cross fingers)! Thanks, I greatly appreciate it! Laura Email: [email protected]
  10. I am teetoring on Dreams Tulum & my only reservation is the travel distance for my guests from the Cancun airport to Dreams Tulum. I've heard its an hour & 15 min. up to 2hrs drive? For those of you who have done the trip, so you think this is unreasonable to ask our guests to do & should just find a place in Cancun. Or is the drive not that bad & worth it? Thanks so much for advice in advance! Laura
  11. calyx6: I can see you had your wedding in Nov. 2007 & I am looking to go to Dreams Tulum in Nov. 2008 and was wondering how the weather & everything was for you at that time? Also, any other recommendations you have for me to prepare or that you liked & disliked, I would love to hear!! Thank you, Laura
  12. Okay, so I am now really down to the wire & have my fiance's family; as well, as my own asking constantly where & when our wedding is happening. We were deciding between Cabo & RM...and have FINALLY decided for sure on RM. We can't wait! Now, its finding a great resort... We are thinking were going to have @ 50 people there (maybe more) and it will be mostly adults, but my fiance does have 2 little sisters ages 10 & 13, so we'll need a resort that allows them to attend. So all in all, I could use some of your wonderful advice (personal, instead of deciding from internet pictures) on some recommendations or resorts that you all loved! Also, I would love to hear the negatives too, so I am prepared. I greatly appreciate it & hope to have a resort picked & to start contacting them within next week to week & a half!!! Thank you ladies in advace! Laura
  13. Welcome! i'm in the same boat as you! Just decided on the location...Riviera Maya & now trying to find a resort that works for everyone! Such a headache! Good Luck! Laura
  14. That link you posted above doesn't open to anything for me? I am a newbie, so am still learning my way @ some! But I am still trying to decide on my destination in Mexico & wanted to get some info, opinions, & pics about some Cabo weddings from the girls here at the forum! Thanks! Again, this forum is a heaven sent! Laura
  15. Okay, this may show how truly new I am to all this, but what is the best way to plan your site visit? We want to do the wedding most likely in Mexico, but its not 100% for sure. Do I first pick the dates we want to go & then contact the resorts we want to visit & schedule a mtng I appreciate all your help! This forum is such a lifesaver!
  16. Thank you all for the warm welcome! I am so excited! We are pretty sure we want the wedding to be in Mexico, its just deciding where in Mexico we want to have it! i don't want a resort that is so gigantic (like Iberostar in RM sp?) that our guests have to walk miles or ride a golf cart to get @ it. Also, do you have any recommendations on what time of year is best in Mexico? I hear summer is $$$ due to tourist season & then Aug-Nov is hurricane season..is that correct? You guys are life savers, being apart of this forum takes alot of stress of my shoulders now! Thank you! Laura
  17. Hello!!! I can't tell how thankful I was to stumble upon this forum! I just got engaged in Sept. '07 & we were sure we wanted to do a destination wedding...but now the "Where" & "When" is hovering over my head. I have looked on 1000 websites, but it is so hard to decide just by pictures on resorts sites, so I am thankful to now be apart of this forum to actually get personal stories, opinions, & pictures! Thank you all in advance! And any pointers are MUCH appreciated! Laura
