If you need help just let me know! thanks! st lucia does sound cool.. we were also looking at st thomas and st barts.. but theres so many different places... not sure where to start looking.. and also about the logistics of getting there from mexico..
  4. im getting frustrated trying to pick a honeymoon location.. i dont know where to start looking.. we are getting married in january in cancun.. and either want to stay in mexico and go to a really nice romantic hotel, or move onto another location.. maybe carribean.. not sure.. could use any help i could get.. we are restricted in destinations bc it is january... thanks!

  7. DONE WITH MY BOARDS!!!! wooohoo.. alright.. gonna post some pics of dreams, which is absolutely fabulous.. i know how nerve wracking it can be trying to plan everyhting from home, i got there very frustrtated, and claudia instanttly calmed me down and reassured me.. the WCs are fabulous. they really do have evyerhting under control, and get everything done. they will really work with you to get you what you want. as far as a few of the things you guys asked: the spa: you can only have your cocktail hour or reception there after the spa hours are over. this is after 8pm. so doesnt really work out that well unless you plan to start really late. the area is beautiful, im sorry i didnt get a chance to get some pics there, but our cocktail hour is going to be around 3pm, so they wouldnt budge on that one. other possible locations were the terrace, which there are tons of pictures of, and the garden. both locations when decorated, look beautiful. we actually decided to do something a lil different and have our cocktail hour at the himutsu.. they dont open until 4pm, so we were given the ok to do the cocktail hour there. its an outdoor open restaurant with a beautiful view of the ocean, and they said they could set up our cocktail hour there. the lagoon: its next to the pool (actually in one of the pictures im gonna post), i swam in it once. no one really does swim in it.. the floor kinda feels muddy and gross.. but it is pretty.. some people actually took a little paddle boat out on it. the pool isnt super huge, however, it never seemed to be overcrowded. the hotel doesnt actually fit tons and tons of people. which is one of the thigns i loved about it. you get a very private feel. theres a lot of land, and a lot of places to go, but its never really crowded and the service is fabulous! a very big plus. everyone was so friendly and pleasant to be around. there were weddings every single day, somedays up to 3. but no one really stepped on each others toes. so if thats a concern for anyone about having more than one wedding that day, i wouldnt worry about it. the WC really have it under control to make sure everyone has a fabulous day. the hotel overall may not be the most elaborate in terms of some of the newer architecture (riu), however, it is amazing.. the food is amazing.. service is amazing. and it was just an overall fabulous experience.! if anyone has any other questions, i would be happy to try to answer them here are a few pictures: caesar salad filet mignon seafood special view of a beautiful wedding from our hotel room great scenery for some great pictures in front of the dolphin area with the lagoon in the background

The honeymoon suites seem to be in a lower building closer to where the gazebo is as far as I can tell from random pictures I've seen on tripadvisor, etc. Do you think the jacuzzi junior room is big enough to have all the bridesmaids in getting ready and dressing on the big day?? the jacuzzi junior suite is in the tower, i would suggest asking to get one on a higher floor bc the view is magnificient. you see the ocean and the gazebo while your getting ready. the honeymoon suite is in the pyramid. not sure what side of the building as far as the view, whether its the dolphin view or ocean side. but the tower view is incredible. the jacuzzi suite is def big enough for all the girls to get ready in. its big enough to have a whole party in there :-)

Anyone have an opinion regarding the pros/cons of either one? i was just at dreams for my site visit and would def def recommend the junior jacuzzi suite. i asked concierge about this and they took me up to see the junior suite and it was fabulous.. i dont have pictures, but it was a huge room with a king size bed and living room area, and the balcony was so beautiful with the jacuzzi... when speaking to the lady from concierge about the honeymoon suite, she actually recommended the junior jacuzzi suite. the honeymoon suite is 2 floors with the king size bed on the second floor and and pull out couch on the first. she said they actually used to use it for families but then decided to make it a honeymoon suite. hope that helps! im sure people who have stayed there will have more opinions :-)

Looking forward to hearing about your trip. There was a bride on here that had her reception in the spa area, I have an e-mail in to Daniela to see if this would be an option for the cocktail hour (we are having the reception on the beach), if you get a chance to take some photos of this area, that would be great! Have a safe trip! i wanted my cocktail hour at the spa as well. so ill get some pictures and see if its possible to do that. we are doing our recpetion in the ballroom.. :-)
