By the way for those of you who haven't tried on gowns yet... the one hour appointment goes by incredibly fast! I think I only tried on a total of 4 gowns. OH! And Abbie don't get depressed about the size thing. I'm normally a small size 8 and they were bringing me 10s and 12s. My plan is to have my seamstress rip out the actual size tag and sew in one that I feel more comfortable with people seeing you look fab in the dresses, this is where i got my dress. make sure you take a friend to White Chicago b/c you have to search through a ton of dresses. make sure you know the style of dress you are after too, that helps a lot. It's fun but I don't think i would have been able to handle it without my girlfriend. they had a lot of Alvina Valenta when I was there. good luck!
  6. I was wondering if my chapel length veil is going to fly up in the air while I walk down the isle? we are having our wedding on the beach and I'm concerned a sea breeze may gust and blow my veil up in crazy directions while I walk down the isle and during the ceremony. Any previous brides who had an outside wedding with a long chapel length veil have any of these kinds of problems? Or is the veil heavy enough to with stand? i keep imagining myself walking down the isle and my veil blowing in my guests' faces!! Funny now but not then. I may just get a birdcage type veil if it's definitely a possibility.

  12. we are dancing to "Everything" by Michael Buble. We didn't want a really slow song, wanted something fun. Planning on getting swing dance lessons to really have some fun with it. Other top contenders were "Feels Like Home" by Chantal (something) and "We are Man and Wife" by Michelle Featherstone. Both are beautiful but very slow.
  13. Kristi, great work as always! I cannot wait until you shoot our wedding! only 5 more months!! yeah!
  14. i'm having 8 hours but may use 1-2hours at our rehearsal dinner instead. i think 6-7hours is plenty.
  15. Mines not holiday-ish, i made it for our Christmas cards...thought it was funny!
  16. I've ran four marathons and my advice is to just follow the training schedule to a tee and you'll do fine. if you put in the training, you should finish. also, just take good care of yourself. if you are hurting, treat it, don't ignore it. drink lots of water. let me know if you have any more specific questions. good luck!!
  17. I also found these cute apothecary jars here... they also have vases that are pretty cheap. Glass Lid Apothecary Jars
  18. my best friend and BM is going to be 30 weeks and her dr says as long as everything is going well, she's got his okay. i'm crossing my fingers b/c she's been my best friend since the 3rd grade. obviously, i want the best for her and her baby...but i'd be sad without her there.
  19. i looked at having a wedding there, we went on a site visit there. extremely beautiful but very expensive, one of the reasons we switched to Puerto Vallarta...couldn't swallow the price.
