  1. I haven't been on here in days. I don't think I will make the cardio challenge. Work suddenly got very very busy. I am still controlling what I eat and trying really hard not to stress eat. and actually doing pretty well. However, exercise has not been good this week. It's only been a few days though. Not too bad (yet) . I have to exercise again before I get too used to not doing it. Besides, if I work out it will totally help with the stress levels at work.

  4. Thanks, ladies. I was actually surprised this style ended up being the most flattering on me, as I am a bit hippy/pear shaped and really didn't expect to like this one on. I guess that's why you have to try on lots-even the ones that look bad on the hanger and the ones you think you could never wear! I got lucky the shop I went to had a Maggie trunk show going on so they had more styles there than usual. I am so happy to check something off my list of things to do!!!!!!!
  5. I can't believe it but I actually made a decision and bought a dress. It was hard because I am shopping alone and none of the shops (except david's bridal) would let me take pictures. I really hate that policy. So here it is... MaggieSottero.com - Dress Detail - JD2003 I don't have a picture of me in it. There was a Maggie Sottero trunk show and the sample was a size 6. I could squeeze in it just enough to get an idea of how it will look. But I did not want a visual record of that. lol. So I am excited I bought a dress and also a little nervous that i don't really know how it will fit. I will have it in 10-12 weeks.
  6. I like the ideas for November challenges. Checking in somewhere with my exercise keeps me motivated. I have worked out about 4 times a week for the past 2-3 weeks. Part of it is I am working out of town and my "real life" doesn't distract me as much. when the other option is sitting in a hotel room, suddenly working out isn't such a terrible thing. I haven't worked out this much in awhile. I don't know if I have lost any weight but I am feeling better for it. Baby steps.
  7. Sol is also unavailable. I was looking into vincent. I am also looking into Claudia Rodriguez. My WC keeps suggesting Cecilia Dumas. I don't think I have seen much about her on the forum. I want to hear from people who have used her.

  9. I didn't do a "twist" but I did get up and go to yoga so at least I did something. lol. But Saturday I went to a Cardio Tai boxing class. I will count that as my twist since it was a new class for me.
  10. I have heard good things about White Chicago as well, but haven't made an appointment (maybe if Volle's doesn't work out). I will check out Nicole Miller. I didn't realize there was a store here and I like some of those dresses. I was worried Macy's was above my price range. what were the prices like?

  13. Congrats on the weight loss ladies! I don't feel like I have lost any weight, but I haven't weighed myself in 2 weeks! I don't have a scale in my hotel. I am hoping I will get a nice big number by the time I get home. I haven't done so well this week (though not terrible either) but I am adjusting to living in a hotel (so no kitchen). Eating at restaurants is so not diet friendly.
  14. I am seriously having problems with giving up diet coke. I have reduced it to one every couple days. But I like the carbonation. I need to get some sparkling water for work. That helps with the water intake and stopping diet coke. yay. I was really tired this morning and didn't get out of bed to work out. I will make up for it by exercising saturday and sunday.
  15. I am having a bad week also. At least with the challenges. I have the list posted at my desk but I don't have a copy at home so I forget what I am supposed to do or I eat before I see not to eat anything with added sugar. haha. I will make a copy and take it home with me. No more excuses. But...I have been working out. I went to yoga before work today.So even if I am not following the list exactly it is still inspiring me. I am missing FI. I haven't seen him in over a week. I am trying to avoid emotional eating but I really want chocolate!
  16. Dear WC- Why aren't you getting back to me about the photographers i want? does it really take weeks to find out if they are available and to book it? I am stressing they won't be available and I will be too late to book anyone good. You were so quick in the beginning. What happened?   18. I am dreading the name change process. I am realizing now as it gets closer just how many things need to be changed. My plan is to start the process right after the wedding, but we'll see how that goes. Unfortunately, I can't hyphenate or keep my maiden as another middle name. My maiden name is 2 words so it would just be toooooo much. I have to pick one or the other and it's important to FI that I take his name.
  19. Well, I totally forgot to do the lunges until I was laying in bed and realized it. lol. But I did the elliptical yesterday and went to yoga this morning so I guess that could make up for it. I have worked out 4 days out of the last 6. I haven't done that in a long time. It feels good. I didn't even look at today's challenge until after I ate 3 dunkin donuts munchkins But it was only 2 WW points. It is a hard one though. Everything seems to have sugar added. I will do my best for the rest of the day.
  20. Dear work - I like that I get to travel for work sometimes. I am ok with spending 6 weeks in chicago even though it means trying to buy a wedding dress in a city i don't live in. But why did you put me in a hotel with suites so I have a kitchen and a separate bedroom and free access to Crunch gym only to now tell me you made a deal with a different hotel and i have to move? Now I will be in a regular hotel room without free gym access (a gym i have actually been using by the way) and i will have to eat at restaurants because i will no longer have even a mini fridge. How will I freakin lose 10 pounds for my wedding if I have to eat out for all my meals?? Would it really be so bad to let me stay where i am?
  21. I didn't try a new vegetable. I was sort of at a loss there honestly. i went to the gym this morning before work. woohoo. did 45 minutes on the elliptical. now i just have to keep that up and make it a HABIT. I didn't do the lunges but i will do those tonight while i am watching Heroes.
  22. Can any chicago brides recommend bridal shops in the area? As some may know, I am in Chicago for work for the next 5 or 6 weeks so I need to do my dress shopping while I am here. I went to david's bridal this weekend and found 1 possibility, but I feel like I should see some more. I didn't have a "wow" moment with the dress but it fit almost perfectly off the rack. I would be totally happy with that dress but I need to quiet the nagging little voice in my head that it shouldn't be that easy, I shouldn't like the FIRST dress I try on. haha.

Whatever it takes to look awesome in those wedding pictures. ha. So tomorrow is try a new vegetable? that's tough.
