  1. The attachments are for 07 so I don't know the current prices - the sales rep info is below - she is really nice. I had my ceremony there and we just ate dinner at the restaurant there because we only had like 30 people and we had a at home reception when we got back for over 200 people Good luck! 2. I got married there in November - it was awesome. There is someone that just got married there recently if you look she has a long review of vendors list - I think her userID lbberger (?) but I will help in anyway possible. Congratulations - I tell my husband all the time I want to get married again! I loved everything about our destination wedding.
  3. I have the Quickutz Silhouette, and I really like it. Actually there are websites and groups you can join that share files too. For the Bride tanktop I went to the craft store and they have the rhinestone "bride" and bridesmaid iron on for t-shirts. they turned out really good.
  4. We rented a car from Hertz in the airport (got married in November) - we paid $400 for 10 days and got a new 4 door jeep. I will warn you others in our party that rented cars (from some other company) were charged outrageous charges for a so-called scratch they put in the car (that was there when they got it). So please look over your car very carefully when you get it. We had a really good experience with Hertz at the airport.
  5. I highly recommend the restaurant in the hotel. I got married there in November and that is where we ate after the wedding (about 30 people). They do like to make a menu for that many people. I will try to think where else we ate - what seafood rest. were you thinking about?
  6. I got married Nov 1 in Cancun and my AHR was this past weekend Dec 1st. We had a traditional reception (dj, catering, cake etc.) We did the bride/groom intro, a slideshow of baby and wedding pics. We did cake cutting. No bouquet (because why buy flowers again), or garter toss. We did do traditional first dances. I pretty much treated mine like a wedding reception with no wedding. It turned out great- out AHR was not beachy but we incorporated small things like our last song being kenny Chesney - No shirt no shoes no problems and beer in mexico. Good luck!

  9. I think the $99 dresses are the ones that are regularly priced at like $250. Then they normally put a dollar amount off depending on the original cost for the other dresses. I know that is how the sale worked when I was in there - dont' know if that helps
  10. Thanks for the info. I am finalizing my letter to my guests tonight to mail tomorrow. I can add some of these activities.

I am getting married there in 2 1/2 weeks - do you mind sharing the pics that you took? I am glad to hear that out of all of your site visits you chose the Marriott. Thanks and good luck with your planning
  12. Avon has got emery boards and lip balm on sale for .69 each. They are really cute - they are called Island Vibe and they come in 4 different flavors. I ordered them for my OOT bags.
  13. I am getting mine done at the JW Marriott spa, that is where I am getting married. I don't know what kind of job they do, but they supposedly have a really nice huge spa. They have thier spa information on their website.
  14. Definetely Nail Tek - you can buy it at the salon
  15. Great work! I am looking forward to using your associate photographer in 6 weeks! It's getting close
  16. I too don't have enough points to open, would anybody be so kind to donate some to me. Thanks
  17. I have the same question about the transport. I only have like 30 guests, but I want to put everything in one bag so it will be together, but it looks like from what I have been reading is that will more likely get your bag checked. So what happens then, you have to pay a tax or something??
  18. My bridesmaid dresses are from David's Bridal and they have a ribbon on them too around the waist. The girl that worked there tied it in a bow- the loops weren't that big. If you go on their website it should show what it should look like. My dresses have the thicker ribbon instead of the thin ribbon - I don't know which you have and how that may make it look different
  19. I really wanted a white dress too..I ended up getting diamond white, which is between bright white and ivory - I think it looks white.
  20. I was thinking something that had a variety of food, steak, seafood, chicken. I did not want to have to go too far away from the Marriott, but if that is where the great restaurants are I am willing to make a reservation there.
  21. I am getting married at the Marriott in November and having a reception at home in December - so I am not having a reception in Cancun, but.. I do want to take everyone to dinner at a nice restaurant. Any recommendations? I want something nice but not too formal.
  22. If you have a Sam's Club in your area they do sell them there. They come 36 packs in a box. Don't know it that helps.
  23. This may sound like a dumb question, but I tried on wedding dresses for the first time yesterday, and the dress I fell in love with is made out of taffeta, and my mom was taking pics of the dresses - the dress looks really shiny in pics - and I don't know if this is just because of her camera. Has anyone else had a dress made out of this material and how did the professional pics come out? I don't want it to look cheap.
