  1. If anyone has any info regarding the catamaran cruise please let me know. That sounds like a fun group trip and cocktail party

Also tell your FI Reef just came out with new flip flops that have a 3 oz flask in the heel of each one!!!!! That is really creative and interesting. I will have to look into those!!!!
  3. Photography is the overall most important it is really all you have left once the day is over with.

  5. Thanks for the update Heidi. Photography is a major part of our day. After everything is said and done pictures and the DVD are all that you really have left. Everything else is beautiful memory. I want my photos to be the absolute best if possible. I want my photographer to give us as much time as we need along with quality. I don't want a rush job. Maybe I am expecting to much, but that is why I decided to go with a photographer that is not from the resort.
  6. That is definitely ridiculous. I have to double check to see how much it would be for us to ship things down to family and just have them drop it off at the resort when we arrive.

  8. I also changed my date to get a 4pm time slot so that everything can be done together. There are no regrets in that department at all!!
  9. Maybe you guys should have a cocktail hour right after the ceremony then book the Mammebay for dinner and then off to the disco from 9-11. That way after the ceremony you still have time to entertain your guests for a bit and meet back up later for dinner and dancing.
  10. Welcome to the forum and enjoy your stay!!!!!!!!
  11. Thanks for letting me know. I reserved a group dinner after the rehearsal at St. Anns restaurant and then off to the Beach Party!
  12. I also booked through liberty travel. My guests are also flying down at different times and from different places. My TA blocked 10 rooms for us but its not contracted so I'm not responsible for there deposits either. That makes things much easier. Do you have to pay for the cocktail party at the SeagrapeBar or just inform Chandlyn that you want to have it?
  13. Wow, it seems like Michael can be very mean. Heidi are you going to pay the vendors fee or contact Riu again and see what they say? He sounds as if he is playing no games and will have the photographers removed from the resort. What should we do?
  14. That is actually a great idea to buy it from the resort the price difference is huge. If you are having a cocktail hour Chandlyn just informed me that Rum punch and fruit punch is included in the price (one less thing to worry about)

    Finally!!!!

Hello LaROR, I am so excited that we are going to be at the resort on the same day getting married. You will get all the information you need here. Enjoy the forum, these girls are greatest!!!!!!!!
  16. My family are the ones that have been giving me a hard time about our DW. My FI's family are loving the concept and they are inviting the whole world. His family is from Jamaica and they don't mind traveling. I have to try and stop them from inviting so many people. We only expected about 50 guests but we have almost doubled that amount.
  17. Did anyone find out from Michael the photographer if there is a vendors fee? I really want to look into hiring the photographer from Negril.

We also have a pretty big bridal party and I want to keep everything a surprise. I believe if you go through customs and they see if you have 2 much of the same thing they charge a fee because they think you are bringing it there with the intent to sell. I have heard this story but don't quote me!!!
  19. Luckily my FI has family members in Jamaica so we are going to ship them there and they are going to drop the stuff at the resort when we arrive. They now have FedEx there which is good because the only other way to send it would have been in a barrel and then they would have to go to the airport and pick it up. So its great we can ship right to there house.
  20. I'm really not sure. I saw some that were affordable and then there were those that were very expensive. Just take a look and see if you see something you like.
  21. Thanks guys.... I will definitely be hitting Macy's tomorrow to take a look and I will let you guys know what I find............
