  1. I booked my wedding with the WC of Ocean Blue directly once I booked my holiday and knew what day I wanted. Because I had contacted her so far in advance I was the first in line to choose the time when it came time for her to book with the officiant. Turned out we went with a symbolic anyway, so we had our first choice in time. The other wedding that day had to work around my schedule.

  3. Ok, so here's the exterior, An arial view, this only shows the house, there's a total of 7.5 acres And the back deck, The interior is heavy on the country decor, but that's just a lick of paint away!

  5. A couple of months ago I started a thread about picking up and moving to a new city, well with the wedding we decided to wait until after to get things progressing. Well we are not even 2 months married and we've done it! We have an accepted conditional offer on a 4 bed ranch on 7.5 acres just outside of Brockville, ON. The town is about 3 1/2 hours away from here, closer to my family, farther from his (woot!), out of the crazy market and standard of living in the GTA. Now the hard part... selling ours! we have 60 days to sell. HOLY SHIT, that's not alot of time! Boxes, purging, staging, showing, selling. This is MASSIVE for us, and I couldn't be happier!!
  6. gotta love da ebay!
  7. I was down in PC at the same time as Tammy and I agree, we were also on an excursion on the afternoon it rained! To the Marinarium! you were wet anyway, so it didn't really matter! On the second week we were there we had a really good downpour thundershower that lasted a good 3-4 hours, lost the satellite and everything!! We just wandered up to the lobby and played some cards and drank some booze!
  8. Pfft, don't even worry about it. I would hazard to say I was 'bla zay' about organizing my wedding. Same as you, I booked the resort, found my dress, did STD's and that was really it. Difference is that's how I WANTED it. I'm so not a planner so this was just the ticket for me. I hardly did a thing until about 6-8 weeks before we left, because I knew the resort WC was going to take care of everything once we got down there. There are my kinds of DW's, I've noticed since I've been on this site. Small simple ones like mine, and large scale spend-as-much-as-you-would-at-home types. Not to say any one is better than the other, but I LOVED my wedding!
  9. Oh man! Now I gotta get me one of those!!! Do you need the main console?
  10. This thread is worthless without pics!!! Hope your recovery is smooth sailing!!
  11. Been there, done that sister! Seems with a DW people don't think it's a 'formal' wedding so they don't need to reply? Bizarre but true.

We ended up getting his rings FedExed (at their expense) and arrived just 4 days before we left! EEP! So he wore the 10 while we were down there, and he has the 9 on now.
  13. We were together until about 1pm. Actually had a soak in the jacuzzi together, teehee! then I went to get my hair done and while I was doing that he got ready with his best man in the room, our photog took pictures. When I was done, I called to the room and had them vacate! Then I went and got ready and the photog came to take pics, while Chris chilled and headed to the beach. the WC came to get me when all was ready and brought me to the beach in the cart. It all worked well!
  14. Ug, we did a garage sale in the rain once.. not fun (actually come to think of it, we did one in the snow too.. equally not as fun!). Crazy garage salers will be out though! I know the feeling of wanting the stuff gone though, our garage is fillin up as we speak with useless crap we need to get rid of!

It was so me!
  18. You know I already love them!!! I like the edits she did with them too, especially the one with you walking down the path and everything is fuzzy except you two! Well done!
  19. Aww, *blushes* thanks ladies!! I'm hyper critical of any pictures taken of me (I'm sure most of us are the same way). As he was taking the pictures I remember thinking, I hope we get at least 1 or 2 good pics out of these! LOL. I used a program called Portrait Professional to do the edits on the pics. Wow, you can do alot of bizarre stuff on that program!! check it here: Portrait Professional - Enhance your photos using the best airbrushing and photo editing software Lots of photogs are using it for visage editing as it's a little easier to work than photoshop. TTD pics to come soon!!

She did a fantastic job. I brought in a picture of an updo I had done at a girlfriend's wedding in Feb, and she far surpased my expectations!! With regards to the wedding/ceremony, see my review here: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t20918 AND I just posted some pro pics, so you can see how well my hair/makeup turned out, here: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t21906
  21. This process was a little slower because we just had a friend who happened to be a wedding photographer come down as a guest, so I've done most of the editing of the photos myself. Whew, what a process! We had over 1700 pictures to sort through! I haven't posted the TTD pics yet either!! Here's a link to my webshots page with the pics: Wedding Pro Pics pictures from friends & fun photos on webshots And below a few of my faves:
  22. I got both my hair and makeup done for $80, and she did an amazing job!! They have a FANTASTIC spa, they do everything a north american spa does. Only thing... you can't charge to your room, you have to pay seperately cash or cc.
  23. ooooo have a great time! We want a full report when you get back!!!
