I just checked and the flight I would need to take is booked. I was hoping some friend could use it Nov. 27 but like I said that flight is full and as you know...they only have one flight a day. Sorry! Good luck selling it!

OMG! Milejilo you have to get married on the skydeck! It's just so beautiful! I kept checking to see if there were any pics of the hotel. These are great!!!

Is it one way? Round-trip? Is there any additional cost to change the name on the ticket?

That's easy! The Paradisus! And don't worry about it being too close to Cancun. It's in Puerto Morelos and you can't even see Cancun from the resort. The grounds are amazing, the food is incredible and I love the options for the ceremony and reception. I believe it to be a higher quality resort than the Barcelo. That's just my opinion though.

Chandra, I'm so so sorry. I hope the situation at DT didn't aggravate your health even more. Get better. That's more important. Keep us in the loop. We all want to know how you're doing.

Geez, I thought it would get easier once you found out your fate. I guess the waiting and stressing continues even though you've been told where you are moving to.

Ditto! Ditto! Ditto! If you are still looking for a TA please, please look no further. Tammy is wonderful! I'm sure the other TA's on this forum are just as good but I've only spoken with Tammy. And the craziest thing! She isn't even my "official" TA!!! My TA has gone awol when I needed her most. My resort, Dreams Tulum has been shut down and I am going berserk trying to figure out what to do. In comes Tammy to the rescue! She's quick, knows her stuff, and extremely helpful. So of course, some of my guests are now booking through her. If this forum is a blessing it's all thanks to Tammy! I really wouldn't have been able to plan a DW without this sounding board and Tammy! thanks again!

I don't mean to be the negative nelly of this thread but I say they should take their Nov. 17 and...well you know what else. They were VERY CONFIDENT they would re-open Oct. 15. Remember that? And then they were very confident they would re-open Nov.1. If it happens WONDERFUL! But I just wish they would stop giving us dates that they themselves don't know whether or not they can make happen. Geez, when does it end? And if Nov. 17th is the re-open date, then why are they offering to move a December bride. UGH...they are making me sooo mad. Off to get me some medicine now...a nice big glass of merlot!

Just got off the phone with Perla at the Paradisus. They don't have my date available! Gotta love it! So...it looks like I will have to go to the Barcelo and I don't want to. Amesharpe, as the date nears it will be more difficult to find another resort available with your date. Just something else to consider!

Amesharpe, I haven't gotten that email yet. And I get married two weeks before you! All I get is, we will get word tomorrow. And then tomorrow comes and I get the same response, "we will get word tomorrow". If you're asking us what to do...here's what I think. I would take Dreams Puerto Aventuras. Then you would avoid yourself all the anxiety and stress over IF they will relocate me and WHEN will they relocate me and WHERE the relocation will be. I am a month out and as I told my FH, these last weeks were supposed to be exciting! I'm supposed to be anxious not because I don't know where I'm getting married but because my wedding is right around the corner! I started my DIY projects in January so that I wouldn't be rushing the last month trying to do things. Well, because of this, I'm gunna be rushing to do things. I hate it! And I still don't know where I'm going! I would look into DPA and go from there. I say, if you can avoid yourself our stress and anxiety, go for it! The DPA thread is very active so you should be able to get tons of help! But ultimately it's your decision. Think long and hard about it!

I have some information Amy. They hope to have "news" for us tomorrow. Yup, tomorrow. Remember when they said they would have news for us this past Monday?! Well, of course that came and went and guess what NO NEWS! And to make things worse, I got an email from Daniel saying they will have something for us TOMORROW. Does anyone else see a cycle here? Anyway...for the first time I blasted off an email suggesting they STOP telling us they will have news on a certain day and stop giving us false hope. I don't see how DT knows when they will get news...it's up to the court system. So just stop giving us crap. My wedding is exactly one month from today. I was being patient, wasn't calling, wasn't emailing because they had dozens of other weddings to move but when will it be my turn? ( I know, I know, I sound like a little girl) The thing is...I never emailed or called them while the resort was open so they can focus on other weddings happening before mine. I purposefully waited my turn so that when my wedding came around I could have good communication with them and it be a breeze to plan. Well I'm outta luck here! I am really just sick to my stomach. And unfortunately, everything is out of my hands so there's nothing for me to do.

You've come so far...it's almost over. I wish the weeks leading up to your wedding or mine or all the other DT brides for that matter were much easier and stress-free. Sometimes I feel like we having everything against us! Ugh!
