  1. I decided to combine my bridal luncheon with my bridal shower and do a lunch cruise in New York City. I did this because there would only be about 13 people and I wanted to thank everybody for coming to the wedding as well as their support over the years. I also decided to host it and plan it because my bridal party pretty much fell apart because 4 ladies (2 of my sisters, 2 of my fiance's sisters) unexpedectly had babies who are all under 1 years old,so they kind of lost interest in the wedding . Of the two remaining ladies in my bridal party, one lives very far away , and my matron of honor is overwhelmed by work and home issues and really does not have time to plan anything. She will only be able to handle the bacheorlerette party. My mother is definately not the party planner type. So I said that I would turn it into a thank you brunch since I do not want gifts at my shower and I told people that if they felt they had to bring a gift, then they should bring me a family recipe so I could start a cookbook. Was it wrong of me to completely take over?
  2. Thanks so much!!! I was able to download the template. I truly appreciate it.
  3. Thank you, her site is wonderful. I am still trying to figure out how to get the template from her though.
  4. Does anyone know how to make triangle or round favor tags that I could use with the paper fans from the Pearl River store? I wanted to give the fan to my guests at my bridal luncheon/shower. Thanks!!!
  5. Beware, you will want to scan everything that you come in contact with at that store because they have such great stuff. It is my favorite registry. I had to end up coming home and taking a lot of stuff off of the registry online because we went a little crazy in the store. But I second everything that was mentioned above. I think if you go on one of their special registry Sundays you get those heart shaped flute sets for free.
  6. We are still trying to finalize what area we will be moving to. We we were contemplating buying downtown Detroit since it seems to be turning over like Harlem did not to long ago, but then we are not sure because I grew up in the suburbs all of my life and my fiance is from Harlem and he is not too keen on going back to "city" life. So we may just rent for a while to figure out what fits us best. I am so saddened that the auto industry is in such a downward spiral and everybody is loosing their jobs. My brother in law's mom has worked for Ford for many years and they are constantly trying to buy her out. I will be graduating in May with my Masters in Social Work so I am thinking one of the unfortunate consequences of the economy going down will be that there will be many jobs for social workers to try to help out. I will definately keep you posted.
  7. I fell in love with one of the personalized aisle runners that one of the knotties makes, so I think I will splurge and do that with some sea glass . I think....... Thanks so much.
  8. Hi Jenetta, I forgot to mention, my sister lives in Sterling Heights ,Michigan and I think she teaches in Southfield. I am planning on moving out to Michigan in November from NY. We are very excited about it and can't wait to get out there.
  9. Thanks so much ladies!! The beaucoup 80cent candles are PERFECT. They are exactly the quantity and price that I have been looking for. I love also that I can either order the labels there or do them somewhere else.
  10. I was looking to find some unique ideas for my aisle runner. Does anyone one have any good pictures.
  11. I am looking to pay anywhere between $1 to $3. Thanks so much.
  12. Does anyone know where to get travel tin candles cheap online? I was looking to put a candle in my guest's oot bags.

Did they show a picture of the koozies. I think that is such a cute idea. I may use it for my at home reception/bbq as a favor.

Here is the link that I found.Staples.com®. that was easy®. . I think the tags that you are refering to are self sealing tags which I think I am going to buy next because it will be a pain in the butt to go to staples and get the original tags that I bought laminated for .99 for a letter size page, or like 8 tags. The self sealing tags make it easier for me to do the tags one by one as people rsvp instead of having to do batches. Please let me know if I can be of further help.
  16. I am making my own luggage tags from a template from a knottie. I bought clear tags that I can laminate at staples so each person will have a personalized luggage tag. Feel free to email me at [email protected] if you would like the template. I plan on mailing the luggage tags when people rsvp with a little welcome package to get them excited for the trip. I am going to put ; jamaica brochures, a little 25 cent tropical calendar from Micheal's craft store and a mini rum cake from Rum Cake Fairy bakes gourmet dessert cakes nestled in a hand-crafted keepsake hatbox for all occasions and gift giving that will be decorated in my welcome package.
  17. My invitation is my signature picture. It is a vellium picture attached with a champagne ribbon to the invite written on cardstock. Our rsvp card has the same picture on it. We even have the labels with the same picture. I bought the invitations from a wonderful shop on ebay. Her link is on my wedding website, www.koriandgeoffrey.com.
  18. www.koriandgeoffrey.com I love weddingwindow.com! It is so easy to navigate and customize. It includes all the info one could ever want.
  19. Thanks so much. I was able to add more songs. I love wedding window.
  20. Really, I didn't know that. How can I add the three songs? I would love to do that because a lot of people's pop up blockers block the song.
  21. Hi Tammy, This is great. Is there a list like this for Jamaica?
  22. I tottally understand that. It was so sweet of you to change your plans. Don't you just love wedding window. I have my website with them and I LOVE it. Wedding Website - Kori and Geoffrey
  23. I am getting married at Sandals Dunns River in May 07 and my guests are staying at either Dunns River, Grande Oche or Beaches. My sister got married at Grande Oche a few years back and loved it. We have only had 2 people reserve their room so far, but our invitation will go out next week, so we shall see. Alot of folks have said that it costs to much or are scared to go to Jamaica for some reason. So we will be doing a party when we get back to celebrate with those who could not make it.
