  4. seriously! What is wrong with that girl?!?!?! Demanding a new ring I do NOT like her. I mean, he was dumb, but he really was trying to be sweet. And she gets pissed. She and I would not be friends.
  5. Today I was walking from the courthouse to my office. To do that I have to cut through the sheriff's office parking lot. As I was going through I saw this dog running around barking and howling. I saw it had a collar with tags on it, but it wouldn't let me come close enough to get to the tags. So I called the humane society to come and get it. Well, I waited in the lot because I didn't want the dog to run out in the road and I wanted to keep an eye on it to point it out to the animal control people. The whole time the dog would just bark and howl at me if I tried to get close. I finally sat down on the curb and ignored it. After about 45 minutes (yes, I sat in the lot for like an hour) she finally came up and sniffed my back. She let me pet her and as soon as I did that she was totally friendly. She was just so scared before. Oh, her eyes we also super crusted up - like she probably could only see out of one eye which I'm sure didn't help her fear. So, I check her collar and call the number on it. I'm like "did you lose your dog?" and the lady is like "maybe. let me call my husband." He calls back and get this: He's a long haul trucker who lives in Vancouver WA (not close to Seattle) and he made a delivery to the sheriff's office way earlier this morning. She travels with him and she must have jumped out of the truck cab when he unloaded. He totally thought she was asleep under the covers on the bed in the truck with his other dog! He was about an hour away when I talked to him. So he unhitched his trailer and drove his big ass semi cab back to my office to get her. While we were waiting, I called a coworker who has a leash in her office and she brought it out. We took her into our office and I cleaned up her eyes. I guess her tear ducts don't work so she gets really goopy. She chilled in my office with a blanket and a fresh pig's ear (don't ask why we keep this stuff in our office). She was happy to see her dad and her other dog friend. Point of the story: I could NOT do what TammyB does. I was SO in love with her after 5 minutes I didn't want to give her back. For real, I was sad the rest of the day because I just wanted to take her home with me. Tammy - I don't know how you are so strong!!! You absolutely AMAZE me with what you do for those puppies.

  7. You look amazing! Your waist looks tiny!
  8. I went to the gym today! Did 35 cardio then weights.
  9. I was an Alpha Xi Delta too Angela!! I'm you secret bunny and a sister - weird! I went to the same school Maura did so my experiences were similar to hers. Actually, one MOH was a tri-delt at Miami and the other was a Fuzzie too. I knew it was the right sorority for me bc me and my BF from grade/high school both rushed our sophmore year. We were really careful about not talking about what sorority we liked bc we didn't want to influence each other. Imagine our surprise when we ended up at the same suite on bid night!
  10. Totally. Most of our guests went to cabo wabo after our mi casa dinner. I think they walked...if not it was a 2 second cab ride. Quote: Originally Posted by Leia78 Does anyone know if Mi casa is walking distance to any bars/clubs/squid row?
  11. You guys wanna do Smith on 15th? It's big enough so we can all sit together. Parking isn't super easy - but the Safeway lot is close. I won't be able to be there until 6:30 - 7 just because that's when I normally get home. I'll try to get out early though. Directions for all non Cap Hill people. From 5 N take the Madison St exit. Take a R onto Madison. Take it all the way up to 15th Ave. There is a Taco Time in that general area. Take a L onto 15th. You will pass a big Safeway on your left - Smith will be on the R by...shocking...a Starbucks.
  12. Here is one place near where we stayed - more of a hotel: Mendocino oceanfront inn & cottages, bed and breakfast California Alegria This was our place: Las Puertas Guest Houses
  13. I ordered those as a sample when I was picking invites. They were really nice quality - I just didn't like the unfinished edge. Actually, I liked it, I was just surprised by it because the pics made it look like a clean cut edge. The cardstock was definitely normal quality.
  14. We went to Todos Santos for our mini-moon. 45 minute drive north of Cabo. The place we stayed was cheap and was about 2 seconds from the beach. It was just a guest house though - not a resort.
  15. That is the BEST reason ever to drop out!!! CONGRATS MOM!!!
  16. My dreams are coming true!!!! Maybe Emily Valentine will light another float on fire!

  19. Find a nice salon and tell them the deal. Hopefully they will have off the rack stuff for you. David's Bridal will be a great place to start because they have a lot in stock.
  20. We went to Hopvine. That's good. There is also Smith with is newish and just down the street - closer to Madison. It's owned by the lady that did Linda's.
