jillhiggins
I'm curious to know how many people would be interested in a "For His Eyes Only" session if it were offered by your photographer. These sessions seem to be becoming more and more popular. I haven't offered them to my clients yet, and I'm not quite sure how to go about it. I don't want to offend anyone or make anyone uncomfortable if they are not cool with it. I would love to hear your opinions...
Nrvsbride
Jill I know we have a couple of threads about this already. Some brides love it and some are shy, but I think it's a great idea to offer. I don't think you will offend anyone by offering it as a service if the person is interested. As long as you don't pressure your clients or make them feel uncomfortable then I don't think it is a problem. A lot of the girls on this site are having a get together in Chicago and having Leigh (the photographer) take boudour photos. -Glenda
LCBride2007
Sure are! We're all a little nervous I think, but it turned into a fun little event I think. Leigh Miller has rented a studio in Chicago, and is going to take some sexy shots of us (we hope!). Not evey bride will want to do this, but it can't hurt to offer. And honestly, not every bride is aware of this option, so offering it to her may give her the idea for a fabulous surprise gift for him. Hummingbird
...only if it's my husband behind the lens! For the brides who are interested in this, I am assuming it would be a female taking the photos, such as Jill or Leigh? I don't think most FIs or husbands would appreciate a male photographer taking those photos! (I wouldn't, if I were a guy, lol!)
LCBride2007
Personally, I wouldn't feel as comfortable with a male photographer, no offense to Jonthan or anyone else, that's just me. I don't know that Paul would mind as much as I just wouldn't feel as comfortable.
jillhiggins
Hi Glenda - Sorry, I didn't know there were other threads covering this. I did see the one about Leigh's session and that is what prompted me to post this. I definitely would never pressure anyone to do it. I was just curious as to what percentage of people as a whole would be interested. I guess what I mean is, I wouldn't want people to think I was weird for offering that service! What do you think would be the best way to let others know that you offer this service? In a general information packet that is sent out to those that inquire about wedding packages - maybe listed with all the other pricing for other types of sessions? LCBride2007
That's a good question, Jill. With Leigh, it actually came up as a result of this forum I think, for me anyway. But I also don't know if I would want my FI to see that listed as an option, I like the idea that he has no idea that people do this, so he will be just that much more surprised when I show him. I guess you could just list that as a service on your website, and if the bride has more questions she can ask. Jonathan, Leigh - how do you handle this? RAENJAY
I actually am in the process of setting this up with a photographer here in Charlotte now. I am very excited to do them, and I just know the FI is going to love them. I actually just asked my photographer if she does them, and she said yes. I don't know of her actually advertising the service though.
jillhiggins
Well so far it seems like there are a lot of people interested in them. Jonathan - Leigh - if you read this thread I would love to know how you approach it.

To be honest, I've only done these sessions with models, so it's usually more for their portfolios. I need to start asking my brides if they are interested in doing something like this, but it's harder for a male to bring it up without looking like a perv. Plus, my area is very conservative so I think a higher percentage of brides in my area would be very shy to do it.
