When we bought our house at the end of 2004, EVERY room needed to be updated. We completely renovated the entire house and although I love all of the rooms in our house, the kitchen was by far the biggest change. Here are some "Before" and "After" shots.

You can even see into the bedroom (well, the wall and ceiling anyway) from the living room because it's a loft that looks over. From my couch where I sit in the living room right now, I can see the dining room, kitchen, entry (down a flight of stairs), family room (up a flight of stairs), spare bedroom & bathroom, and our bedroom (up another flight of stairs). SO....that's why my house isn't "done" yet. It's really not even decorated how I want. We want to redo the floors, but we'd have to do all new flooring throughout and we want hardwood- the budget dictates that we wait awhile on that. We don't want to do anything else until all our debt is paid off.

Anyway, here is my living room- I love the layout, the fireplace and the huge ceiling...I want to change the color & the carpeting...

That's a 12 foot Christmas tree. You can see the loft overlook of the bedroom. The fireplace is 3 stories. It starts in the basement living room and bedroom, continues up through the living room and is one wall of the kitchen, and continues up through our bedroom. There are fireplaces on the lower living room & main living room levels. So in this pic, the couch is to the right out of view, the dining room is to the left of the tree and the kitchen is behind the fireplace.
cozy cozy cozy i want to come over.. i knew your house would be warmand welcoming..wink.gif

Jessica you need to post your kitchen here- it's so cute! I can't wait to see what else you do with your house :)

Jen, holy crap- sweet renovation! That looks like a TON of work!

Rebecca, I Love your stairs. Stairs are one of my favorite things in a house for some reason. My house has 4 flights of stairs :)

Thanks Ladies! It was A LOT of work!!! We spent about a year doing all the renovations. We decided to just do everything all at once rather than live with dust for 5 years. It was a pain, but very well worth it. The value of our house has increased SOOOOO much.

I also have "Before" and "During" pics of the Bathroom. But I haven't gotten around to taking the "After" pics yet. When I do, I'll post.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
