Tinkatude- Wow-- sounds like you have a lot on your plate. I had a bridesmaid pick a fight with me and told me that she will resume being my friend after my wedding when I am done being selfish. Huh-- I think we burned that bridge now. So I kind of feel your pain, but at the same time- I think I would just drag the girls to davids bridal and have them buy the gowns off the rack in the color you want.

Timberly-- Its 2 am so HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! Hoping we can get together and chat sometime! Have I told you how incredibly HOT your bd shoot photos are? Chris is going to melt!

Erica- Its so good to have you back and making posts again-- we really did miss you!

Tricia- IMHO I've heard that the wind can be pretty brutal near the beach, but since you are doing a gazebo wedding then go with what you want-- its your day and you are only doing this once :o). I would just be worried that a long veil would be blowing around and messing up all the wedding photos while you are walking into the gazebo.

A custom wedding ring would be nice, but I don't think it would be done in time for our wedding (I've been told multiple times that custom jobs usually take 6 weeks, and we leave in 5). We got a deal on the engagement ring, since it was sold to us by a friend of a friend, and they're willing to do a deal on the wedding ring, but it's still more than I was hoping to pay. Sigh...
If you are looking for a nice band at a reasonable price check the local pawn shops. With the economy so bad people are off loading all of thier jewelry for cheap. Ive seen some really pretty pieces there.

Today, my patients canceled due to snow so I went shopping and had a pretty successful day!

I most likely have my shoes taken care of. I want them dyed 2 different colors so they are going to confirm with the dye-girl that she can do that and then call me tomorrow. I also found a back up just in case that doesn't work out.

I got my earrings from Dillards and I love them.

I got 2 hostess gifts for the girls throwing me a shower.

Victoria secret is having their semi-annual sale and had TONS of swim suits in the store (that I actually got to try on instead of chancing it with online) so I found one that I liked finally and got an "outfit" that I thought I might wear for FI on Valentines day.

I also found a veil that I loved, but haven't decided on what kind I want yet. I kind of want a cathedral length like this bride...

Do you guys think it's too long for a beach wedding? Too windy? It's just so pretty, but I could totally go shorter too.

It is very sexy the veil!!! I think you should have what you want...

you can buy rhinestones at Michaels or another craft store... or buy them loose and glue them... it shouldn't be that hard because it is just "I DO"... that price is wicked for shipping

Now that's a positive outlook! I never thought of that. Cool! I don'T want any bystanders in banana hammocks making their way into my pictures.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
