Excellence Playa Mujeres Brides Post Here!

Hi Ladies,

TA Wendy here... I work very frequently with both Excellence properties and because the wedding coordinators know me I can often get quick response from them if they are being a bt delayed in response. If anyone needs a bit of help or would like some information on blocking your group of rooms, I would be very happy to assist.

Excellence Playa Mujeres is a great choice, with large and beautiful rooms, great food, easy to get to location, and wonderful entertainment.

If you can budget for it, I especially reccommend bride and groom book into one of the swim out rooms... so wonderful, and even if not all have ocean view, I think the ability to have your little private garden area and step into the pool really makes it well worth it!

If I can be of any help to anyone, just PM me!

Happy planning!

TA Wendy

I'm here LOL! My wedding is next month. I'm working with Andrea. She takes forever to email back and says they had email problems so IDK!

A few months before the wedding they will send the options to choose from that are included in the package and information on any add on's or extras with prices.....I say for those getting married next year, don't fret and be patient and enjoy this time of non worrying. I'm hoping everything is smooth for us next month. I'll try to come back on and post pics if I can. We chose to marry under the gazebo and only have 10 people attending so it's small.

You can find me on facebook under Sandy Gonzalez in Houston, Texas

Hi ladies,

My wedding is 2 months away. I have Andrea as my coordinator and she takes weeks up to a month to reply back to emails. Before her I had Lleny and she was the same way. I have complained and they apologize, but still take forever to return emails, it is very frustrating. The last email I sent Andrea was one month ago and she still hasnt responded. I haven't received anything to finalize the options that I have chosen within my package. I have a small group of 8 people attending. I am praying with this lack of communication from Andrea that everything works out.

Hello,

Are there any brides who were married at EPM during the construction? If so could you please give me advice on if I should choose the gazebo or beach? Originally I choose the gazebo for our ceremony, but I'm hearing about the construction and how it takes place near the gazebo and how the noise can be a problem for the ceremony. So I'm wondering what I should do.

Thanks

MJ

I'm back it was beautiful!! Construction did not bother me at all, pics were beautiful and the resort itself is top notch!! we had an awesome time....so much to say lol

I did gazebo because it was hot! I do  not regret it, I think it's more beautiful than the beach location personally and more private! I rented tiffany chairs and we brought our own music.....

I don't plan to get back on much often but you guys can email me  [email protected]

construction will be over by March 2014 and Andrea stays busy but do NOT STRESS....believe me!

my colors were turquoise and coral and I rented table cloths and brought some decos that I bought on ETSY....wish I could post pics here

you will be ok! it was awesome for us.....

Hey Ladies!

I feel like I struck gold seeing that there is a thread for brides that are getting married at EPM! We're getting married there Oct 18, 2014, a little over 2 months away! I honestly haven't done much planning and was hoping to get some ideas from other brides about what they're doing!

What's everyone planning to do for decorations? It seems like the resorts centerpieces, flowers, and decorations are very overpriced. I'm bringing my faux flowers in hopes that I can bring back my bouquet and keep it somewhere in our house :) I don't know what to do about decorations/centerpieces for the actual ceremony and reception. Anyone have ideas? Are you ladies just purchasing decorations from the resort or planning to bring your own?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
