  1. Hey guys, I've been so busy with wedding planning that I completely forgot to post a 5% off promo code for American Airlines that I obtained for my wedding. The discount will be valid for travel May 5-19, 2012 from any airport to the Punta Cana, Santo Domingo and Santiago airports. I know that there are a couple of other brides here with wedding dates close to mine so I hope this helps you guys and your guests. The promo code is 7352BZ. It's only 5% but every little bit helps. I should mention that this discount also applies to One World Alliance airline partners as well.
  2. These look great! Excellent job!! I'm planning on making my own as well, where did you buy the beads?
  3. I'm thinking of getting these too, they're available at www.seaheart.com for $19.95. They're great and don't have the high price tag of other barefoot sandals.
  4. I am using this particular vendor because the hotel allows you to work with them and no guest pass is required. They have done many weddings at the hotel. I will be getting some things from them and some things from the hotel's in-house decorators. Caribbean Celebrations is cheaper for some things such as centerpieces and other decor. They also have great service and get back to you promptly which I really appreciate. On the other hand, there are things that I wanted that are cheaper at the hotel which is why I'm using both.
  5. Dani, My wedding is in May and I was not in contact with my onsite wedding coordinator until 3 months before. At the three month mark I called the hotel myself and requested the contact information of the WC that was assigned to work with me for my wedding because noone had contacted me. By then I had done all my research as to what I wanted for the wedding (decor, centerpieces, etc...), so once I got her email and phone number I emailed her pictures and descriptions of everything I wanted which got the ball rolling. I was able to make some arrangements before that time because I went to the hotel last summer and did a site inspection. At that time I selected the venues for all of my events, did a cake tasting and obtained other general information. If you don't want to wait any longer and would like to start obtaining quotes for decor for your wedding you can always contact Caribbean Celebrations, they're an outside vendor that works with the hotel. I'm currently working with them and so far I'm happy. The hotel has their own in-house event planning/decorating company called Creative Punta Cana and you can try contacting them as well. The websites for both of these companies have been posted in previous posts. 6. I love these and the idea of sending them before the wedding so that you don't have to worry about having to carry it with you on your trip.
  7. I've been wondering the same thing. Since we've only talked about wedding related things I have no idea what she'd like. Cash does sound like a good idea.
  8. Great idea, I might get these for my bridesmaids.
  9. Love the hanger and shoe bling. I have to check out those Etsy stores.
  10. I love the shot glasses, great idea for a Mexico wedding!
