Does anyone out there have any ideas for what to put in a welcome letter for our OOT bags? There is so much information - I am just not sure where to start. Any idea's you have will be sooo much help! Thanks

I made a booklet and put it in those clear-cover portfolios. It was broken down into sections (I have too much free time at work :P)

The cover was our monogramm the next page was a short "Welcome, you made it...please read through this, etc.". The next page was 2 color maps, one of the city and one of the hotels (our guests were staying at different spots).

The sections were Itinerary, General Info (like time zone/money/weather/etc.) History of PV, Sightseeing, Shopping, Tips on Staying Healthy, Emergency Contacts (like embassies, numbers to call if you loose credit cards/passports, etc.

      I think that's about it!

I have been wondering the same thing. I wasn't originally going to do this, but I think i want to know, of course, thanks to all the wonderful ladies at BDW! Let the research begin!

I'll see if I can find the link for you but Bre had one one here that was really nice.
Think she had average weather temps, useful spanish phrases, dress code for wedding, possible excursions, facts about the city, etc. It was really nice.

I kept mine very short and sweet.

            Dear Family and Friends,

The wait is finally over!! Welcome to sun, sand and relaxation....Welcome to Riviera Maya!! We are both so happy and feel very blessed to be able to have our wedding here at Dreams Tulum Resort & Spa. We are especially honored that you have traveled this far to be a part of our marriage celebration.

Enjoy the “goodies” included in this welcome bag. They are just a small token of our appreciation.

Please make the most of your stay here in Riviera Maya. We hope the next few days will be as memorable for you, as it will be for us.

            With Love and Appreciation,
            Lisa & James

Wait, Betsy aren't you getting married today? LOL

I swear it's on the calendar....I started a "congrats" thread for you and just realized you can't be getting married today if you just asked this question! Let me double check that I'm not losing it...

I was going to do a short letter like Lisa's - simple and to the point. But now I want to do a booklet like Jamy's. (Even though I already sent a similar booklet to my guests back in September - for assistance with their travel plans.)

Jamy - do you have any pics of your booklet that you can post?

I have a couple of these that I could email to someone. I have downloaded these throughout my planning and would be glad to share. PM your email address and I can send it to you (I dont know how to attach them here, plus I have a couple of different kinds).

Hey Shandra - if you email them to me, I would be happy to post them for you.

How's your planning coming along anyway? I haven't done too much with Beaches, STILL waiting for guests to respond...

Ok, here are the samples that Shandra (meandpaul) was nice enough to email me to post. I (stupidly) never saved them when others posted theirs, but I am pretty sure that Heidi has a good one and Mo (mobride). Here goes...
