Need help with flower substitutions.

I don't want my bridesmaids to carry flowers for my beach wedding...but am having trouble coming up with a substitute. Any suggestions?

If you were getting married in the evening (which I doubt, but it's worth mentioning I think) candles or little lanterns are super pretty.

 

Fans might work...

 

This is an Irish tradition, and it's normally just for the bride to do, but horseshoes tied on a pretty ribbon.

 

Pretty little purses.

 

Rosaries.

 

I saw once a DW where they carried big conch shells and that was kinda cool.
