Makeup Application?

Recommended Posts

Thanks ladies! I'm not sure what to do either, I do my makeup OK every day, but it's certainly nothing special, and I wouldnt know how to do it to last the heat and emotion of the day! So I am leaning toward getting it done at the resort as well, I'll probably get a trial done to make sure I like it first (Thanks Mo!). Now to find me some Bare Minerals or other really nice makeup that wont melt in the heat! (No Sephora near me...)

I would definitely recomend bringing your own make up though. They had a drawer of old make up there. If you're nervous about it and you have time before your wedding day you could go on for a trial run. I had a trial of my hair but not my make up.
I still need to buy new makeup, but I'm waiting until the tanning has kicked in just a little more. I'll probably get Bobbi Brown or Laura Mercier makeup, b/c I love both of their lines. I'm definitely bringing my own down and having it done by someone though. I'd be freaked about having random Jamaican makeup on my face for the wedding - I'm sure I'd end up breaking out - lol.

I haven't decided for sure yet...I am just now calling around for professional pricing. I don't have anyone who can do it for me...I can do most of my make up on my own...but I need lessons on eyeshadow and eyeliner...I think I will visit the make-up counters also and see if I can learn first...I would prefer to do it myself...I am picky. I had my make up done for the first time for my friends wedding a couple months ago...and I loved it all but my eyes!! I'm very picky about my eyelashes...so we will see...

I am also picky about my hair..but I suck at doing hair...so i am going to have to have that done most likely

Professional! This is so important for great coverage and longevity. It will make you look and feel beautiful and that will be portrayed in your pics! Don't be afraid if it's darker than usual or add lashes, HE will think you're beautiful no matter what and more is always better for the cameras ( i guess that's the photographer thought process...) :)

Best Wishes!cheer2.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
