We wanted to have a day-after brunch at the resort (very informal, maybe even at the buffett area so people can come and go as they please).

But, we have a lot of guests who will be leaving on that morning -- and with scattered 1pm - 4pm flights, many will need to leave the resort pretty early (it's about a 45-minute ride back to the airport) to get checked in, etc.

Should we consider trying to be up early to meet those leaving for an 8-9am breakfast? (About half of our guests will leave the day after the wedding and the other half the following day ... which is when we leave). Or should we forego the brunch idea altogether? How many of you did this?

Our guests are all staying for the day after the wedding, which we're using as a free day. We're doing breakfast with them the day they leave though :)

I would invite everyone to brunch at a certain time and if by chance they are still around they will come. We did a day after event and many people chose to do their own thing, but we had about 30 people go on the wine tour with us.

Since our wedding ceremony is on a Friday, most guests will not leave until Sunday or Monday. So we are debating on whether to do the brunch Saturday or Sunday as well. I think this is a great idea though!

I think its a great idea! We did one on Sunday and out of the 40 guests that we had, about 30 or so were able to come and really enjoyed it. It gave everyone one last time to be together as a group and time to revel about the night before's activities. We did ours at 11 a.m. so no one had to rush to get there : )

That's a great idea but you should enjoy your first morning as a married couple together. Stay in bed and have breakfast in bed. Maybe you could have something in the days before the wedding.
