Thanks everyone! I just wanted to share incase it helps you get ideas for your own gifts. I wouldn't have thought to make a lot of this stuff if I hadn't seen similar things on the forum. It's great that we can share ideas so easily with a forum.

I love making photo gifts. Not just because it keeps me out of the mall this time of year. I just think they are so personal and people usually really like them. I posted one of the first photobooks I made on the forum. It was of our engagement pictures & I gave it to my grandma. She takes it with her everywhere!

I had so much fun making the list of funny things from our trip. I printed a copy for myself & it cracks me up. I can't wait to give this present to my friend & watch her open it.

Morgan, I am a Shutterfly addict myself. My cousin started making family calendars for Christmas so we alternate making them each year. I did a photocard for our engagement announcements. I have also made the ABC and Sesame Street books for FI's nieces and nephew, and plan to make one for my godson. Parents love them as they are more of a keepsake. You submit a faceshot of the child and they put it on the child character in the book. I think they were around $50 or so including shipping.

I saw the ABC & sesame street books. They are more like a book than the dora & diego ones which are more of a photo album. I made the dora & diego books, because I had codes for free 8x8 books. But, I think the ABC & Sesame street books might be a little nicer. I'm interested to see how the kids react to them. I know the moms will like them, but I don't know what a kid will think about it. I'll let y'all know.

I forgot to post our christmas cards. They were from shutterfly too.

Everyone really enjoyed thier shutterfly presents. I was a lot of fun giving everyone such personal gifts this year. I wasn't sure how the kids would react to the books, but they enjoyed them. They flipped through each page before opening the rest of their gifts.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
