Recommended Posts

Ok ladies, I promised I would get all of this posted before I leave. I have done such a good job pre-packing, using the packing guidelines on this forum, etc that Iâ€m ahead of schedule! HOORAY! So here goes, hereâ€s all of our wedding stuff that I have at the moment. Obviously, Iâ€ll share all of the pictures I can when we get back!

Wedding Location: Fiesta Americana Grand Los Cabos

Events:

Before guests arrive, Family Dinner: Edithâ€s

First group event: Tequila Tasting & Taco Bar at the Imperial Suite

Rehearsal Dinner: Mi Casa downtown CSL

Ceremony, Cocktails, Reception & Dancing

Coolers for the OOT bags (love them!)

Goodies for the OOT bags: pash, mints, Purell, Crystal Light, First Aid Kit, Chaser packet (ha!), aloe, koozies, Herban Essentials hand wipes, Miss Manicure emery boards, Pepto, Advil, Immodium, sudoku books from OTC. We'll also add bottled water, some snacks, mini tequila and margaritas once we get to Cabo.

Custom Maps by Couture Maps. I totally love the way they came out. The map is pink the other side is lime green. Theyâ€re more keepsake maps rather than for directions, but I still think theyâ€re adorable!

Special bags for our close friends (weâ€re not having a wedding party, but are still treating them as if we were): will be stuffed with good tequila for the guys, gossip magazines, shot glass, maybe a cigar, and a note from FI & I. Big bag for the girls, smaller bag for the guys.

Our stationary from iomoi.com which I love, for thank-yous. We mixed four patterns so it wasnâ€t all the same, and didnâ€t include last names so I could use for gifts we have already received.

Wedding gown. Terrible pictures, I donâ€t think I look that fat in real life! :) My veil is floor-length, diamond white with the edge seared (so it has that little edge on it).

Wedding Bands. FIâ€s is palladium and brushed on the main part w/ a polished beveled edge. Mine matches my engagement ring, but is one row of pave using the same size melee.

Hair. My stylist at home helped me come up with a simple style that can be recreated and will look nice with the veil all night. Iâ€m keeping that veil on all night, it makes me feel like a bride!

Bouquet. Without the shells & starfish, Iâ€m not a shell-type gal. But I will have The Starfish from BDW in it. Yay!

Sorry I donâ€t have any pictures of the ceremony setup, but itâ€ll be like this: dark wooden benches and a coconut colored aisle runner. Shephardâ€s hooks with globes lining the aisle with turquoise and lime ribbon hanging down. Chocolate brown chuppah with white fabric. Very simple since itâ€s so quick!

Wedding favors: custom cookies from Cutie Pie Cookie with a picture of the bride & groom pinatas used at a shower thrown for us, with “Happily Ever After†in Spanish.

I donâ€t have a picture of the guest book, since I already took it to Cabo, but itâ€s a coffee table book that our guests will sign in.

Ok, I should stop now, but itâ€s all just so fun. Thank you all for your inspiration, help, words of wisdom, etc. Without BDW there is no way my wedding would be as planned and cohesive as it is. I got so many ideas from this forum that I had to stop reading sometimes, b/c I would want to do it all!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
