Tulum Group Excursion

Recommended Posts

Hello lovely ladies, I'm looking into planning a group excursion to Tulum. I know that Sunwing offers some excursion but I am finding that many of them are the Tulum ruins + katamaran or other stops. We simply wanted to spend a half day at the ruins check out the beach and then maybe do a pit stop at the playa paraiso which is a public beach with a view of the ruins. Does anyone have any suggestions?.

It's basically heaven in the form of a beach!  :D.

So both pictures are shots taken from different angles at the ruins in Tulum.  There are two levels.  When you arrive you explore and learn about the history of the ancient ruins and as you can see you can go down a few stairs and there is a beach to cool off.  It is absolutely stunning.  I have been twice now and both times I spent hours just hanging out at that beach.  The water is crystal clear and the sand is so soft.

We rented a car and it took about 45 mins to drive...

I am trying to find a tour that is not through Sunwing and that can accommodate for our group and maybe let us do a stop at the beaches right beside it.  @TammyWright  I looked at the tours but they all seem very specific and appear to include other group too.

Tulum is great.  Whenever I go to Mexico w/ someone new, I make sure to take them there.  If I do a big group, we usually do the long tour that visits Tulum and Xelha.  Everyone loves Xelha.  It's a laid back place with beautiful water.  You could look to rent a large van to just take you and pick you up from this location.  We are hiring a large van to pick us up and take us to our Playa hotel and it's about $50 per trip.  You don't pay per person.  So it's $100 roundtrip and we can fit numerous people in there.  You may want to check that out.

tulum was really one of the most beautiful places I had the opportunity to visit! I was a BM in a DW a few years ago. the bride just rented 2 vans and had the drivers take us to the tulum ruins and the big pyramid near by...I'm blanking on the name....

Chintzenitza?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
